Max's teammates:Or the third more plausible option. Lewis is not as good as Max and could not dominate his teammates by that much. Max will be miles ahead of any other driver in the same car.
He drove very wellI reckon a couple of drivers where robbed of a podium finish and one driver was phuking lucky to get a podium finish.
#Changemymind.
Sure, but they didn't go as far as Schumacher went. Number 1 status vs clause that number 2 slows down and lets you past doesnt compete at all is entirely different. Preference in the garage is one thing, what Schumacher demanded went far beyond any of that.To be fair, all the modern greats had that.
Ayrton Senna blocked Lotus from signing the highly rated Derek Warwick when John Player wanted a British driver in the second seat. Senna claimed Lotus couldn't support two good drivers, so he used the clause in his contract that allowed him to veto the choice for the second seat. Lotus instead signed Johnny Dumfries, who unsurprisingly drove like a granny, and Warwick never got to drive a car worthy of his potential.
Piquet had a clause that made him #1 at Williams and then he proceeded to throw his toys out when Williams didn't honour that and allowed Mansell (ostensibly the #2 driver) to fight him. When he signed for Lotus in 1988, the contract included undisputed #1 status. After joining Benetton, Piquet would later be rumoured to have lobbied in favour of Benetton retaining the slower Roberto Moreno and not giving the #2 seat to a young German by the name of Michael Schumacher who was looking mightily impressive.
Mansell walked away from Williams at the end of 1992 partly because Frank Williams wouldn't meet his financial demands and partly because they signed Prost. Mansell held a grudge against Prost going back to their Ferrari years where Prost played politics and undermined his position within the team. He also claims Frank promised him undisputed #1 status and Prost joining ensured that wasn't the case.
When Prost signed for Williams in 1993, it included a clause that prevented them from signing Senna, who was keen to join and whom Frank wanted. Frank wasn't willing to extend the clause for 1994 and so Prost walked away when Williams signed Senna.
You can bet your bottom dollar that Hamilton was being consulted on the second seat when Rosberg retired, and Max will almost certainly have a say on who joins him at Red Bull.

Not too sure of the veracity but Twitter is popping off about it at the moment.Nyck de Vries sacked by AlphaTauri; Ricciardo makes sensational F1 return
Nyck de Vries has parted ways with AlphaTauri after just 10 rounds completed of the 2023 Formula One season.
The Dutch driver has had a massively difficult rookie campaign following his move from Formula E over to Formula 1.
De Vries got an unexpected opportunity in Formula One after a brilliant showing for Williams at Monza last year when he replaced Alex Albon who had to miss the race due to appendicitis. He finished P9 and impressed the paddock.
Unfortunately for the Dutchman, his spell at AlphaTauri has been extremely disappointing.
As well as having an underwhelming package beneath him, De Vries has made several mistakes and had a couple of costly crashes as well.
He's also lacked pace versus Yuki Tsunoda and lost out 2-8 in the qualifying head-to-head and 0-2 in points. The former Formula E and Formula 2 champion was 20th in points before his sacking.
On his last start before he was dismissed, De Vries finished 17th at Silverstone.

Kinda saw that coming![]()

Chris is normally a pretty solid sourceUntil it's official on Formula1.com, I'll take any headline like that with a massive pinch of salt.
EDIT: Should it be true, I would feel desperately sorry for de Vries. This year's Alpha Tauri is in my opinion more of a dog than the Haas of two years ago or the Williams when Kubica and Russell were driving. But I guess we know the ruthless nature of the Red Bull structure and anyone who puts pen to paper for them should probably know the same.
I'll lmao if Yuki outperforms Ricciardo...Yea I’d feel for de Vries but on the other hand he hasn’t exactly sold himself very well. He’s driven like kak all year, can’t think of a single good performance (there may be one).
Not much for the team to lose by replacing him.

I'm happy we'll see him back on the grid. I wish him the best.Welcome back Daniel.
