Give Frik the McLaren and Eben the Volvo and I can tell you without thinking too hard, who would win the drag. You probably also think Frik du Preez is a better lock than Eben Etzebeth.
LMAO.As the years pass every profession and every sport get more professional and more competitive.
You cant compare someone that raced as a hobby here and there and probably had the most money/sponsors to practice the most and get the best cars, to the competitiveness of F1 today. Fangio would be nowhere.
Now the goalposts are 'F1 of today'
As if somehow those guys back then had it easy.
I'd pay big money to watch a season with todays drivers and those bicuit wheel shod cars of Fangios day. That would really highlight driver skill. Could be a lot of fun too, but regardless, the driver with the slower car can't beat the driver with the fastest car if the gap is big enough. Ask Max. For 8 years he couldn't win a single world championship.
Lewis only waited two years, nearly did it on his debut.
/waits for vaaldam to say Lewis had a faster car.
