Bro they coasted for 55 laps. If RBR wasn't do terrible it would've been even worse.

Had Merc not made that pitstop this would've been a race to forget. Unless you like a procession to the finish line, I dunno what you are arguing about.

A procession you say? Have you been watching this season from the 1st race? Lol

What would you call a race dominated by Max, if this was terrible?

What is the obsession with Max? If he was in front and everybody else just followed him with nobody passing and just managing tyres for 95% of the laps, I'd call it boring AF.

Ferrari was so concerned with trying to get a 1-2 that they never raced each other. Look at what they did the previous race.

It was soul destroying until Merc finally showed up to race.

post race show did a nice replay. pretty cut and dry causing a collision.
also showed something more of the George crash. and I take back what I said. he didnt cook the tyres or brakes, he followed lando into the wall and hit it harder. still dont geel bad for him though it was driver error and he owns up to that as well
Clumsy from Perez and he is lucky to still finish P8.

Brilliant race by Lawson - makes the driver lineup for next year at AT a very interesting decision.

Fantastic GP weekend even though I couldn't watch the last 15 laps due to my internet dying, but hats off to ol Smooth Operator, he is clearly the better driver in that Ferrari team atm and driving his socks off.

I feel bad for ol Russel, his concentration lapses continue to hurt him.

Norris is so close to that first win, he can taste it.

Max will be back next weekend, this was good for him and the team. They need some challenges otherwise you will stagnate.

It's been my personal opinion since they became teammates that while Leclerc has a higher skill ceiling than Sainz, Sainz consistently drives to the maximum of his ability while Leclerc doesn't do it enough, and occasionally drives beyond his ability (he has made mistakes while leading races, pushing for a hot quali lap, etc).

Yeah Sainz is definitely the more consistent driver at this point. Same with LH and Russel. Russel at times looks fantastic just to fck it all up in some way or fashion. LH is just consistently driving well.

At this point in time, a win is a win.. if Sainz and Leclerc had to race each other yesterday, and they ****ed it up, I wonder how the chat would go around here, and everywhere else.."Red Donkeys" "Ferrari at its worse again" "Ferrari doing Ferrari things." Etc

This wasn't a race for being nice to Charles, or a race to satisfy the racing purists by giving them a race to excite you. Majority of the season has already been boring, but yet you calling this race boring. The strategy by Carlos and the team for once was immense, irrespective whether you or anybody liked it. They won the race, and that's that. In actual fact, them dictating the pace like that, actually made the race quite interesting and entertaining for once.

Sainz is a slow second driver. Two races that he got pole position and then held everyone including his teammate up behind him makes no difference. Perez has also out qualified Max a few times, does that make Perez a good driver? How many races has Sainz done before he won his first, and how many in total for his 2 victories?
Le Clerc is the only Ferrari driver that would ever maybe have a chance of getting a WC. He is fast. He showed that by beating Vettel both years they were teammates.
Fast drivers cannot perform in cars that is unpredictable and sliding around, they cannot drive to the limits. Just as Max showed this weekend. Same with Le Clerc with this current Ferrari that eats up the tires.

Agree. It's also crazy how many mention Charles mistakes, but forget how many times the team have messed up, and cost him wins as well..

Fastest in FP2.
Fastest in FP3.
Fastest in Q2.
Fastest in Q3.
Pole Position.
Led every single lap.
Kept backing Lando into DRS range so he could use him as a buffer against the charging Mercs.
7th fastest race lap, only drivers that set faster times in the race were the ones that switched to Mediums during the final VSC (Both Mercs, both RBs, Alonso and Albon).

Smooth operator all weekend. Win well deserved.

Yeah, strategy wise I was fully expecting them to fck it up, they did well to have a car in first. I'm also not a Sainz fine but he drove brilliantly yesterday. He fully deserved that win.

He must just equally support Clucky the next time it is needed.

I can give the same stats for Perez on a few circuits the last 3 years. Does that make him a great driver?

I don't see Sainz as a slow 2nd driver. If anything he's exactly where he needs to be for most of the races.

Perez and Stroll come to mind as slow 2nd drivers this year compared to their teammates.
