The rain was still very mild and localized to two corners. It reached the current state so quickly. Fortunately, no harm done in terms of position
Isn't that what the weather prediction systems are for? No harm done in terms of track position but closer to Ocon rather than Verstappen

Nice podium. Stoked for Fernando and Ocon. First Frenchman (Ocon) on the podium at Monaco since Panis in '96

Well, that was better than it had any right to be.

Still, remove the rain and the only good part was that insane Haas overtake.

I was thinking about this. Apart from some initial trepidation, the rain actually played very little part. Off the top of my head, the only oke to suffer was Sainz as he had to stack behind le Clerc at the pit stop. That being said, it was all of his own making as he had spun off earlier. Otherwise, it was pretty much, as you were.

The drivers handled the changing conditions very well in general.

I found that quite interesting too. It makes it far more exciting and dramatic with okes drifting and sliding and whatnot, it’s a lot of fun to watch. But yea; not much material difference overall.

Not sure whether Perez or Sargeant drove worse this race, but I think it was Perez. Absolutely useless.

This race deserves to be on the calendar, not because it is the most exciting (It isn't), but because it shows how skilled the drivers and teams really are. If you watched the support races there were numerus yellow and red flags.
Today they were driving at almost 200MPH with total precision and the race was won on pure driving skill in changeable conditions.

Fully agree.

Max summed it up well in his pre-race interview: it's very hard to overtake, but it is very easy to make a mistake.
