Still an issue, if you were first in the GP, there's no enough laps to get through the field and get first in the sprint.

Should just scrap the sprint thing altogether. Whether it's a standalone event or used for qualifying, if there's an incident then you're basically out of the race...

This makes no financial or "sustainability" sense, but I would love it if the sprint race was contested in equal cars. Like take F2 cars and add power and brakes, but same engine/chassis/everything.

Sprint race is a no-stop 20 lap race in equal machinery.

Then F1 is the same drivers in F1 cars as per usual.
 
Do a reverse order on the points standing of the drivers at the time. It would be absolute chaos though.

That would actually be interesting. Russell is 9th in the championship so you'd have a fast car in the mix with the middle order.

The problem is it's so risky for people like Verstappen, Ham, LeClerc having to fight through Sargeant and Stroll and Ocon and those okes.

People watch F1 for the overtakes and the crashes.

This way, there'd be plenty. You really think someone like LH will hang back from points in the sprint race to increase his chances in the GP? No way.

I'm also of the opinion that the points systems needs to be addressed. The gap between 1st and 4th is way to big and I feel it makes the "best of the rest" just let the top guys pass without any on track fighting.

It's why the mid fields always feels like there is a scramble for points, because they know all it takes is another teams bad day and they can get ahead of their rivals.
 
It is very obvious that Ferrari prefer Carlos over Charles. Not the first time where Charles is faster and have track position over Carlos and they bring Carlos in first and let him under cut Charles.

Yes that I don't understand.
Charles is clearly the better and faster driver.
They also pay Charles more than 3 times as much as Carlos.
Maybe they want to get out of that salary? It is more than LH is getting.
 
discussing the team orders in ferrari is about as useful as discussing team orders in Alpine.
only in Alpine it doesnt matter because the team will be unlucky and be forced to retire a car where Ferrari will just be caught with bad strategy or an underperforming car.
 
Friday - FP1 and FP2
Saturday - 1x Q1, Q2, Q3 Qualifying session to be used for both the sprint and main race, then parc ferme.
Saturday - Sprint race using the reverse qualifying results
Sunday - Main race using Qualifying results
 
Curious how they've handled this floor business. I would think that when 50% of your sample fails, surely you would then investigate further? and increase the sample size?

Either way, looking forward to the next race.
