Question of the Day: If you were buying a TV today, which brand would you choose?

It's her birthday on Tuesday and she recently lost her dad, so supporting her was rightfully more important.
I turned off my mobile data to make sure no spoilers and avoided the TV in the bar area at the venue after 2:59pm to avoid the race that was on it.
Survived the FOMO and watched the race as soon as we returned home.
Sucks to be George. Also, normally the drivers only "Tweet" after their car passes scrutineering, but he seems to have been a bit trigger happy today, which came back to bite him.
Judging by what Helmut Marko said after the race, Checo's P2 to P8 (P7 after Russell DSQ) may be the final straw. Daniel, Tsunodo and Lawson will take part in a VCARB filming day test session next week and I'm sure we'll have a new Red Bull driver sometime before the next race.

Think they'll promote Daniel, as it opens Vcarb for Lawson. Then they can keep him. Sux for Checo. But the second seat is cursed. Doubt whoever they put in that seat will do anything better than Checo

Checo have a contract. Think he will just be moved to the B team. Hope it wont be Ricciardo, but seems it may be. Think Ricciardo will have to end of the season to prove himself otherwise he will be out of F1 completely.

My view is hopefully Lawson replaces Perez and that’s it. Ricciardo is Horny Spice’s favourite so perhaps Ricciardo to RB and Lawson to VC. Either way Perez is out.

Don't they normally just weigh the top 3 and maybe one or two at random? Did Merc expect Russel to get top 3?

norris been furking up the start for quite a few races
russell will always mess it up when leading
this time his strategy worked and if was 1 or 2 more laps he would have ended 3rd but yeah the DQ was hectic

Enjoyed the race, but hell I feel for ol Osama bin Russel. Dude got shafted, he drove fantastically to keep those tires together for almost 30+laps
I was quite surprised at how good the RB looked on Saturday's quali and then battle to overtake on Sunday. Perhaps bad luck being stuck in DRS trains and Perez was so kak he even helped the other teams at one point. Also was weird that they put Max on Mediums again instead of hards, which maybe would have allowed him to push even more?
They really should put in some time over the summer break to try and figure out where the race pace is going because that car is in theory still very quick.

Oh yeah, no it is pretty much a certainty that he is gone. To drop from 2nd to 7th in that car is inexcusable. At the very least he should have made podium yesterday.
Don't know if Danny will do much better, but he probably wont put it into the wall every weekend and perhaps do a little better on race day. He should be trying to get constant top 5 finishes otherwise he will also be done by the end of 2024.
Perez might be assigned to reserve driver role for remainder of season with Liam jumping into the Vcarb. RB does not want Yuki in the main brand, and with the Honda partnership ending next year, no real reason for them to keep him past that. Even if he is good enough.
I see now that Max only had one pair of hards, so that is that.

Yeah, Mclaren definitely has the best car on the grid atm.
I think if Max didn't need to serve the penalty and started on pole, he would have won the race quite easily. If he could have made use of that 0.5 sec mid sector advantage and clean air, he would have disappeared into the distance.
The drs train and dirty air even meant Norris couldn't pass Max. It sucks because Spa is generally such a great track for overtakes.

Hamilton would've deserved the win if he passed on track, he couldn't so he didn't get it. And this is coming from a Ham fan.
what a fantastic Race. Spa in the Dry is always great.
that Call by Russel to go for a 1 stop after he had already been on those hards for so long was amazing. no managemetn early and then managed to make it last.
in the last 4 laps Lewis could definately pass Russel. I believe he chose to play rear gunner and defend Piastry.
my logic for that was the 2.5 seconds that Piastry gained on LH over lap 39 and 40 while LH also gained half a second on GR. LH knew that staying behind GR meant a Merc 1,2 where passing GR meant a Merc 1,3 at best. he made the call on his own. at least that is what I believe.
and then for the DQ. 1.5 KG is a lot.

I highly doubt that. He was p1ssed afterwards. The conditions was terrible this year for any overtaking. Everybody was complaining about it.
Fair assumption.
I mean we cant ever say if he held back or not.
but for me the way he was set up in the slip stream in the straight showed he could set up for a DRS overtake but then he backed off every time way before the breaking zone. and that is not his usual driving style.
was he racing a team mate differently?
was he racing George differently because he is leaving?
was GEorge driving well defensively and predicting Lewis well?

Apparently the DRS activation point was moved up along the Kemmel Straight which meant that crucially, cars with DRS didn't have as long to maximise overtaking.
Yeah you could see it too. I am pretty sure Norris could have overtaken Max, Lewis on Russel, Max on Leclerc but nobody could really make a move.
