I keep reading in my mind Visa cash Grab RB

The future

Driver and YouTuber Steve Alvarez Brown painted a worrying picture of what could become the new normal in 2026.

He tweeted: “The VISA Cash App RB overtakes the Mastercard Mobil 1 McLaren driven by Oscar Peroni Piastri.

“Meanwhile it’s Max Heineken Verstappen taking the win at the Aramco-Coca Cola London Grand Prix, his 12th win of the season on street circuits.

“Alex AWS Albon crashes at the Amazon Prime Parabolica in his Bet365 Casio-Powertrains Williams during the Louis Vuitton Italian GP. This triggers the Monster Energy red flag and the second Deliveroo safety car of the race.”

Murray Walker will be especially missed this year.

McLaren would be fools to lose piastri. Sergio is probably out and the RB team/reserve shuffle will be interesting. At risk out of the remaining can only be sainz and sargeant imho. Everything else is more or less probably static unless the French drivers try to make moves which might shuffle the pack. Stroll won’t be getting the boot although perhaps it’s reaching that point.

Totally agree about McClaren, but I do wonder if Piastri has a great season and gets ahead of himself and might jump ship when RB comes calling. Perez needs to leave RB to rescue his reputation and extend his F1 career. I think there will be more movement than you think. For example, if Kimi wins F2, could George be pushed out or could Kimi go to Williams on loan for a year or two before moving up. Alonso is not getting any younger and who knows whats happening in Stroll's head.

When perez leaves RB he’ll sunset at formula E. I think alonso will be around for 2 more seasons. Agree Kimi might replace sargeant in 2025 but George’s future for 2026 I believe will rest with Lewis staying, going or whatever. I feel like merc will allow him to race and his exit will be on his own terms at least for another 3 seasons. Stroll has his seat until he gets bored or fans turn on him especially if for whatever reason good drivers cant find seats.
