I believe it's been a foregone conclusion for about a year already. But it is also just first practice, the times really do mean nothing. But also it's a whitewash. But also too early to tell. But also they've already made the name plate for the trophy.

Unsurprising. BUT - testing. Let's all misguidedly hold out hope

Lets hope the smooth operator stays clear of that drain covers this time.

Leclerc went over it after it had been dislodged and the Ferrari mechanics were closely inspecting his floor upon his return to the pits. They had the protective screens up at the front of the garage while busy though, so not sure what they have found.

Drain covers again? Come one man, we've been through this.

Eish, that would not be good. Unnecessary damage if it is.

Charles Leclerc set the pace in the morning session of day two of pre-season testing in Bahrain - but the results were overshadowed by the first red flag of of the 2024 season.

The stoppage was caused by yet more drain cover drama, as Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton ran over and destroyed a cover on turn 11, with Ferrari appearing to have to work on Leclerc's car after the incident.

After 30 minutes of track inspections, it was announced by the FIA that the session would not resume and that the afternoon session would be extended to five hours
