Mostly he doesn't give a schit. He just wanted to race and stay away from all the drama and opinions...

The guy has plenty of street cred. 180 races, 6 victories. He is an expert by definition. A retired one, but an expert nonetheless. What do you call an expert?

I feel like with the cost of the drivers and the way the top 5 teams are ahead of the bottom 5 teams managing the second constructor and the last 2 drivers is more about minimizing negative points rather than gaining any points.

I will explain more.
Red Bull, Ferrari, Mclaren, Merc and Aston are going to be taking at least 85% of the points this season.
so for say Yuki, Danni, or Alex to score points it will mean that a Ferrari engine blew, Stroll showed his true form or there was some sort of racing incident where George TBoned Checko or Lewis went flying into Fernando's rear wheel.

for the season I think finding the balance of fewest negative points to fill seats to pair with the most consistent big point driver or team is going to be the way to win.

there is no "hack" like picking Aston at the start of the season, with Redbull as the main and Lando as your 5th.
and then swapping in Oscar for Lance at Silverstone and swapping Aston for Mclaren when they were at their cheapest.
that was what I did to win the league I was in last year. but it felt very obvious to me at the time to play it like that.

How would you know? Coulthard still works in F1 if that's what you mean.

Valid point about Villeneuve.

and spot on about DC. he is in and around the sport, still doing marketing stunts for Red Bull from time to time even so he really understands how different these cars are to the ones that he drove.

where Mikka, Ralf and Jaques are removed from this generation completely. the steering wheel changes and safety upgrades to the car make it almost impossible to compare even to something as "recent" as say a 2012 car.
 
my feed on F1tv is just stuck on the loading screen on my laptop.

but on my phone it works just fine. very very annoying.



Update. seems to be a browser issue.
Does not work on Brave, just stuck on on the red ellipse for loading on Brave. Chrome works 100%.
 
First time in a while I have to watch at work instead of when working from home, super annoying XD Got a video feed pinned to always on top in the corner so I can keep pretending to be busy
 
Working from home today. office tommorow.
I will catch Fp3 when I get home and finalize my fantasy and Superbru picks

F1tv since the latter half of last year has implemented a bunch of copyright protection features that affect browsers and can be a little unpredictable like no video or audio etc. You can't even watch F1tv in a browser if you have a displaylink display active with a Mac/OSX.
