You genuinely think people only want to watch when Lewis wins?
No, I think people want to watch racing.

None of the dominants periods are good at getting or keeping fans other than those already invested, but a first race with such a dominant win by the dominant team gives nobody anything to look forward too, not even the RB Fans, let alone any new fans wanting some excitement. Did anyone other than the second red bull actually pull off an overtake maneuver or even attempt one? even among the back markers? I may have fallen asleep already.

The commentators and paddack reporters are even scraping the barrel for things to talk about.

So if it satisfied your standard of entertainment then great, but I doubt it will retain many more.

What race were you even watching? There were a decent number of overtakes by drivers other than Perez. Not least Sainz on Le Clerc x 2.

Sometimes I feel like F1 is rigged a bit. Hamilton dominated when they tried to become more PC. Now Verstappen is dominating and it is appeasing the old guard who were not exactly happy with Hamilton dominating.

At the end of the day, it is a business and 80% car, 20% driver.

Verstappen will win the WDC this year and next year but 2026 is uncertain. Hopefully the new regulations will let someone else win then.

Cut that half pint loose and put Lawson in the car. But of course, Honda will not like that.

Yeah, it's about sponsors and politics. Yuki is a decent Japanese driver and is good for Japanese sponsors. Ric is very popular and has experience. If push comes to shove, I reckon Ric will be sacrificed.

From all the Japanese drivers that have ever been in F1, Tsunoda is probably the best. The only other one who could have got onto the grid without being a pay driver was Sato.

Ric needs to watch himself. I reckon they will sacrifice him if this gets out of hand.

Tsunoda has age on his side and brings Japanese sponsors.
Ric is a fave of Horner. Yuki has a temper and Ricciardo should’ve given the place back especially since no points involved.

Maybe we need to put all the drivers in a RB20.

Max would still win but the rest wouldn't be able to blame the car.
I’m ok just everyone using it for a quali car lol. RB have done an astounding job on that car. What is clear is that budget caps at least in the current form are having an unexpected consequence.

Another one who rates Perez above the entire field and believes Max only learned to drive four years ago.

Meanwhile Adrian Newey… am I a joke to you?

Yes, they have drastically cut back on parties and promotions as the catering budget is now needed for development ;)

He'd would not dominate. Hamilton, Russell, Alonso would all be winning their fair share of races.
Amazing how fans seem to know more about F1 than the people running it.
There is maybe a reason that a 17 year old got an F1 seat and became the youngest driver ever.
