In an ideal world every track on the circuit should provide a different test for both driver and engineer. In that view Monaco is unique and 100% deserves a spot. It might not be the race with the most overtakes, but every driver will tell you they love the challenge it provides.
And yet it's not up to the FIA standards that every other track is subjected to.

But we know Monaco is never going to go, even though it should from a regulations and spectator perspective. So then remove one of the middle eastern races to make way for another American one...

More wisdom from the new F1 DTS fans.
Monaco have better race weekends than many other tracks. Qualifying at Monaco is probably the most intense and exciting of all tracks. Everyone know that is the most important part of the weekend and drivers give it their all at Monaco.
Ask any driver what race he would want to win the most and most will say Monaco.

And lets not forget that pit strategy is also probably the most exciting on the calendar. Very few dull moments at Monaco

Then turn every track into Monaco so the drivers can go have fun. The spectators can enjoy qualifying and go do something else on Sunday since it becomes irrelevant. Don't need us to watch the whole weekend because at least the drivers are having fun...

I thought you were the new F1 DTS fan?

But not the engineering problem. Let's just remind ourselves that formula1 is about a lot more than the driver. It's always also been about building a fast car given the prescribed "formula".
I hear you but from a spectators point of view there's no fun watching a procession of cars at the pinnacle of engineering trundling around lap after lap without anything happening.

Monaco is the test match version of F1. It's for the purest who enjoys the intricacies of the sport, but doesn't appeal to someone who wants to see sixes and wickets every ball.

norrafok.
its a local 4 day game in napal. no action, no intracacies but a beautiful view.

Interlagos, COTA, Silverstone and weirdly China are the test matches. pit strategy, overtaking opportunity, tyre management and aero settings all play a role.

Mexico, Monza and the REd bull ring are the T20. go fast forget strategey (for the most part)

the others are basically ODI. decent strategy, decent speed and entertainment.

Monaco is no strategy. its get lucky in Quali so you get a good lap without someone else putting it in the wall, start in pole and win. procession.

But he picked up on the narrative and ran with it.
It was good narrative, good observation and excellent witticism, we could debate minor intricacy but I think it shows a good understanding of sports marketing and a good knowledge of both modern F1 and Cricket.
Well put Baxteen.

Commentator: Good day, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the thrilling streets of Monaco, where we're all set for a cracking day of Formula 1 racing! I'm your commentator, usually found on the cricket pitch, but today I've traded my bat for a steering wheel. Let’s get ready for some high-octane runs, wickets, and boundary hits—Formula 1 style!

Commentator: The drivers are taking their positions on the starting grid. It's like a tight field setup, with everyone eager to bowl that perfect first over. Lewis Hamilton is on pole, ready to unleash a fiery yorker right from the start. Max Verstappen, not to be outdone, is in second—his eyes set on a quick single to the first corner.

Commentator: And they’re off! It's a blinder of a start! Hamilton's off like a tracer bullet, hitting that apex as if it's the sweet spot of his bat. Verstappen is right on his tail, pushing for an early wicket. It’s a full toss of a start, and the crowd is loving it!

Commentator: We're in the middle overs now, folks. The cars are weaving through the tight chicanes like they’re playing a game of cat and mouse. Hamilton’s still in the lead, but Verstappen is sticking to him like a slip fielder. It’s edge-of-the-seat stuff, this! Reminds me of a tense T20 chase.

Commentator: Here comes Charles Leclerc, the local lad, with a stunning drive! He’s playing the role of an all-rounder today, balancing aggression with caution. Oh, and what a move! He’s just sent Sergio Perez back to the pavilion, overtaking him with the precision of a surgical strike.

Commentator: Into the final overs now, and the pressure is mounting. The pit stops are like strategic timeouts, with teams adjusting their game plans. Hamilton's crew is quicker than a stumping by MS Dhoni, but Verstappen’s not giving up. He’s bowling a consistent line and length, hoping for that one mistake.

Commentator: And what’s this? A yellow flag! That’s like a no-ball, disrupting the rhythm. It’s caused a bit of a shuffle in the order, but Hamilton's holding his nerve. Just like a seasoned batsman protecting his wicket in the final over.

Commentator: Last lap, folks! This is the Super Over of motorsport. Hamilton’s driving like he’s chasing down a daunting total, but Verstappen’s coming at him with everything he's got—short balls, bouncers, and all. The crowd’s on their feet, and the tension is palpable.

Commentator: And there it is! Lewis Hamilton crosses the line, taking the chequered flag! It’s a massive six to finish the innings! Verstappen follows closely, a valiant effort, but today belongs to Hamilton. He’s played a captain’s knock, steering his team to victory.

Commentator: What a race! It had all the drama of an IPL final, the strategy of a Test match, and the thrill of an ODI chase. From the streets of Monaco, this is your cricket commentator, signing off. Until next time, keep your eyes on the ball—or in this case, the track! Cheers!
