In SA "IPTV" usually refers to third party pirate sites that offer every channel on the planet but is far from legitimate and it's best effort.Last I checked F1TV and DStv (if you're using dstv.stream) are both IPTV.

You got lucky. There is some variance between the web and apps depending on time of year and whatever exchange rate Google locked in but it varies wildly by country. Like USA is $84.99 for the year or $10.99 / monthI see it'll be more next time
Apple In-app is the same price for f1tv.OH and never do any subscriptions on an Apple device, otherwise you pay Apple tax.
All I know that last year I wanted to renew on my iPhone and It seemed high, then went on my Windows pc and it was much cheaper.Apple In-app is the same price for f1tv.
Pretty much. December to March and the summer breaks are wasted money...So basically month-to-month with F1tv you can get the whole season in 8 renewals (~$48) for 2025. If you willing to skip 1-2 races then you can do it for 7.
They should just make it pay per view for a race weekend and a season pass.Pretty much. December to March and the summer breaks are wasted money...
Only by those who try to ease their conscience. Why not just call them pirate streams and keep IPTV for IPTV?In SA "IPTV" usually refers to third party pirate sites that offer every channel on the planet but is far from legitimate and it's best effort.
Yeah it's a bit of a mystery - I'm sure there are some though who think it's a genuine service.Only by those who try to ease their conscience. Why not just call them pirate streams and keep IPTV for IPTV?
People didn't do it with torrents, they're not about to start now with IPTV. DSTV is in the minority, like Linux distros were back then...Only by those who try to ease their conscience. Why not just call them pirate streams and keep IPTV for IPTV?

Distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate uses...Didn't do what?
I don't know anyone who thought that tv/movie torrents were legit... I mean linux distros sureDistinguish between legitimate and illegitimate uses...
But they never referred to torrents anything other than torrents. Torrents have never been a legitimate delivery channel for media, and everyone who knows anything about torrents knows that. People who refer to pirate streams as IPTV forget that there are a multitude of legitimate (I.e. non-pirated) IPTV services.Distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate uses...
Yes but the pirates argued that the peer to peer protocol had legitimate uses such as sharing Linux distros. It's the same principle with IPTV, it's become synonymous with pirate streams even though there are legitimate use cases...But they never referred to torrents anything other than torrents.
