For those teams I think not. Id have put him in Perez’s place if he wasn’t such a lock.so Carlos is kar loos?
But why? Ricciardo was only close to him when he was a rookie teenager? The small margins is actually concerning if you think Ricciardo was experienced at that time and Max was just getting into F1 without even driving F2.
Ricciardo's poor form was actually showing then already. Probably why he left RB so fast, knew the next year he would be hammered in times like the other that followed.
So that leaves Kmag, Danny Ric, Logan, Zhou, Bottas, Carlos and Ocon without a seat for 2025.
I personally think out of that bunch only Ocon and Carlos will still be in F1 next year
Lets say a young rookie comes in at Ferrari next to Leclerc and first season he average just 0.1s behind Leclerc? Everyone will be amazed. I mean Piastri is two years in and still cant keep up with Lando while most think he will be destined for more? How many races did Lando do before his first win 113?Ricciardo and Max were teammates for only two full seasons, 2017 and 2018. And they were closely matched.
He beat Max in 2017 and then in 2018 he had a nightmare in terms of reliability, 8 retirements (more than any other driver) to Max's 3. Many of his retirements from competitive positions. Remember the famous clip of him audibly screaming in his helmet out of frustration after another retirement? Compounding his frustrations over the repeated failures was Red Bull favouring Max, so all-in-all, he was a match for Max at the time, but he was frustrated and wanted to be a team leader. Red Bull was gravitating toward the younger driver, so Danny opted for the big payday with Renault.
Average finish in 2017:
Ricciardo - 3.4
Max - 4.2
Average finish in 2018:
Max - 3.5
Ricciardo - 4
Neither Gasy, Albon nor Perez have come closer to Max than Ricciardo did. But Ricciardo is also past his prime now anyway, so he would not be able to replicate that.

Zhou has money. It is rumoured that his sponsors offered Haas $30 million in sponsorship money.
Williams, Haas and Sauber have one seat open, and all 3 teams are in positions where sponsorship money could swing a decision. Zhou already brings money to Sauber, Sargeant brings money to Williams and Haas is a financial sh*tshow.
For those that don't follow NASCAR, Stewart-Haas Racing, of which Gene Haas is the founder and now co-owner, is closing its doors at the end of the 2024 season. They ran four cars but can no longer afford it and have been losing sponsors. Gene doesn't have big-boy money. It is a miracle that his barebones F1 team has kept going.

Woody?Lmao, he really does look like Woody
But you think a 17 year old Max that did not even drive F2 would be as good as he is now when he was a rookie?
Audi doesn't need the money he brings. The smaller non-works teams do...I didn't know that about Zhou regardless, it seems Audi does not want him though. Perhaps Haas if they need money but ultimately I don't think Haas will be there in 2026. Perhaps Andretti will take their spot?
If what you say is true, then I just don't see a future for that team at all.

Doubt they read this forum, but it seems like Jos posts in this thread, posing as a fan from another team...everyone on mybb is fighting and norris and max are laughing about it
