Drivers have actually issued complaints against the series for how inaccurately the series has depicted events, so far as portray drivers in a poor light, to fake tensions between drivers (that dont exist) for the viewership, where paint drivers as enemies and all sorts, when in fact good friends and all sort of nonsense like that, to point of dividing fans over entirely fake narratives that do not exist, fights that didnt happen and sorts.
I think Max was one of those, that or it was because he does not like having a camera in his face 24/7.

Gunther loved it, he saw the Hollywood dream

It's not terrible actually. You just have to watch it for what it is, a drama-fuelled nonsense fest. But it does provide some really nice insights to the behind-the-scenes stuff that you don't otherwise get to see. Just remember that it's basically all fiction.

Yeah same here, I like the BTS stuff. See some of the workings going on behind the races such as showing the factories etc

Don't forget the Lando/Ric debacle. DTS proper misrespresented tons of footage out of context in the series to paint a picture of the two guys who were and are great friends as hating eachother. Was proper backlash from the drivers and whatnot about that, not enough in my opinion. That's rubbish and uncalled for.

I actually really want ro watch it but haven't gotten that far yet. It just sounds boring watching a series about races you already watched. I might really try sometime.

So I've watched the first and second season and they were decent for a bit of a "behind the scenes" look at things you don't normally get, but it was over dramatised and stuff and that has ultimately turned me off it.

F1 is about the technology, the strategy and the racing.. not some bullshyte drama that the Americans can keep.

I'd like to like DTS, but can't. Over dramatizing is one thing, but outright making fake **** up with fake representation of events with editing and whatnot to create fake drama and controversy so people will watch, no thanks. Folks want the fake stuff, go watch Kardashians

That said, cautiously optimistic about the movie considering the guy behind the TopGun movies behind it, so fingers crossed does it all justice.
My teenage girls watch DTS...they love it...

The latest season is terrible, they are stretching anything to find some drama and we all know last year was a rather quiet season.

Hell I can just imagine the field day they are having with this upcoming season. LH being sabotaged drama, Horner drama, Max and Lando drama, Alpine drama...

Oh gawd, the Horner drama is going to be blown so far out of proportion that its going to be annoying as fsck.

I think the Horner drama wont make DTS. I think there are legal things in place to prevent it from getting into the episode.

there will be an entire episode on Lewis.
and just like every other season, an entire episode on Danny Ric, but I feel this will be very similar to the bottas episode from the first season where he did the whole to whom it may concern thing.

and I think there will be a decent amount of Focus on Carlos and his search for a seat.

and I am calling it now kimi will be mentioned a few times

It has it's place, it brings people to the sport who otherwise wouldn't have started watching. It's also fine if you already watch F1 and want to see the behind the scenes stuff if you can ignore the fake drama.

The real joke is those who secretly watch it as gospel while pretending they don't, like certain Ferrari fans...
