Piastri was in front, he had first pit option, but Lando was under threat from Lewis, so they brought Lando in first to cover Lewis, provided that he give the place back.

The A-hole that Lando is made him almost not accept the team order as agreed before. The team had to literally beg him to comply.

Although there was no actual threat from Lewis. It was a crap call and put them in a really unnecessary position which was exacerbated by Lando. If Lando had immediately inverted the position he would probably have been able to overtake him on the track.

He (Max) was overdriving the car, he had pace to beat Lewis but seems too impatient, not helped by being told to give back the position and the strategy calls he felt went against him

The instruction was to let him pass when he (Lando) saw fit. Can't remember the exact wording, something like "at your convenience".

That instruction plus the one that said “at your leisure” are crap considering the intent was a team order to let him pass, not a kind request - it leaves it all up to the drivers to manage it vs the team managing it.

It wouldn't be such a DTS commentary show if they pitted Oscar 1st, then next lap pit Lando to "cover" Lewis when there wasnt really even a need as Lewis was far back...
Clear message from Maccas is that Lando HAS COMPLETELY NO CHANCE to take it to Max...

It wouldn't even matter for the team as both Maccas finished 1-2, so wtf, why screw up Lando's championship hunt for a mistake pitstop call by the strat team.....

Anyways, 1-2 for the Maccas !
