These commentators overplaying this "genius" move by Russell. Good call but it kinda common sense if you are not fighting for a championship. In their own words it's all about winning/podiums.

"Genius" execution though

I wonder if Max would’ve been able to do the same, they did pit on the same lap

How far was he behind Russell at that point? If it was a couple of seconds then maybe no difference in position?

They came in together at that stop

Also curious that they (Redbull) couldn’t really make inroads on the top 3, got stuck behind Ferrari

Maybe that car wasn't that great today considering how Perez dropped away. But then it's Perez who is now 8th in the drivers championship and utterly useless as any kind of benchmark.

Unless RBR does something amazing with that car soon the championship is wide open next year.

It’s definitely shocking how much pace they have lost recently

Yeah, good race! Spa was definitely top-notch!

Piastri and Hamilton both drove like crazy, but what a great call from Russel! And he still kept ahead of his 7-time World Champion teammate!

Norris needs to learn how to keep it on-track in Turn 1, he's done that several times now. Piastri is proving that cooler heads prevail.

I think LeClerc deserves praise for hustling that Ferrari as much as he could, but it wasn't enough to keep Verstappen at bay though. However, Red Bull must be 3rd fastest now.

Again the lead changed several times this race, strategy and pit-execution makes it or breaks it.

If the second half of the season is more of this, bring it on!

Remember when Adrian Newey left? Why have all the upgrades tanked since then?

I think he may have had more of a hand in their dominance than Horner suggests

GR63 outsmarted all the data, all the strategists, all the drivers right there. I hope this opens things up for more teams to take calculated risks. Alonso deserves a shout too. He ended P9 with his 1 stop.

6/10 for me. Another race I’d have loved a couple more laps to see what Oscar could do to attack and if Charles could keep defending or if Lando could get past Max. Wd to Woody for staying out. Only thing for sure is Perez needs to go.
