In my opinion ( which counts for jacka$$ ) is who is leading in the championship - between the teammates, should be No.1
If OP had been leading, he by rightly so should be 1... But he ain't - LN is 32 ahead ( should be 39 ) so he should be 1
There was talk of the team having some meeting of some sorts during the break to sort out the #1, hopefully is done & dusted

Mclaren have two young drivers and they should race. If it's the difference between a championship or no championship then they can favour one over the other but as far as Mclaren at the moment they shouldn't choose seniority over performance.
The only thing Mclaren need to iron out is that if they give the driver behind first option for the benefit of the team then that driver should fully comprehend that.
