The stewarding was inconsistent - as always. Russel got a penalty for forcing another driver off while Max didn't - all we ask for as fans is consistency and the lack thereof is frustrating

Well driven Colapinto, Hulk, Charles and Carlos. Mclaren again gambling and failing. Great recovery by George but terrible weekend all round for Lewis.

It's really annoying. This whole thing about who's ahead at the apex is pointless if the person ahead also goes off the track. It creates more dangerous scenarios, encouraging drivers to get to the apex first irrespective of the consequences.

If you make no attempt to make the corner, there should be no penalty if you lose the place, or you should get the penalty for dive bombing. But it is what it is, rules are rules...

And we KNOW F1 teams and drivers love operating in the gray areas of the rules - so it wont stop. Good ending to the race though - onto Mexico!

Lawson also did well. Amazing action-packed race! Loved it! What a great drive from Charles!

Pretty sure they can tell the difference with telemetry if they really wanted to. Edit: I’ll just add that it should be leniency as a result of a casacading of events not direct incident between two drivers.
 
So Lando got 4 track limit strikes on the official FIA document. One of those was made neutral in the T12 off track pass 5s penalty by the stewards.

Long story short, if he DIDN'T get those 5s for the off track pass, then he would have got it for the 4 strikes. So he would've lost his P3 no matter what.

Not so sure - it would have to be off track without incident so it would revert to forced off track?
