LOL these clowns probably realized what they did by being influenced by the British media mafia.
Punishing a driver on the inside with someone late braking on the outside will result in nobody ever being able to late brake and do a pass on the inside. It will ruin racing as we know it.
What will happen now is anyone defending will not go inside to defend. They will keep on racing line on outside, brake late and the guy trying to pass will never be first at apex and will have to leave space on the outside.

Exclusive: Lewis Hamilton will drive Ayrton Senna's McLaren in tribute at the São Paulo GP

"Senna Sempre", is scheduled for 5 pm next Saturday (2), when all official track activities have been closed. The car chosen for the tribute is the McLaren MP4/5B, with which Senna won the double championship in the 1990 Formula 1 season.

that was a fantastic car, and a fantastic season. his battles with Prost and Mansel are the stuff of dreams for the current gen of cars.
but maybe my memories are a little nostalgic. I was a Mansel fan because his moustache looked like my dad's moustache, and he was sponsored by the same cigarette brand that my favorited sailing race was sponsored by. weird thing to remember from when I was 4 years old

I also remember Mansell's moustache and watching F1 with my Dad in the late 1980's

The V10 is still peak F1 sound.

Still doesn't make it illegal. Every elite sportsperson in the world uses the rules to their advantage.

Rassie and Springbok rugby is a prime example of a team maximising rule usage to the point where the president of World Rugby is saying the rules need to be changed because he doesn't like what the team are doing.

It's the same with cricket players bowling yorkers on the wide line, or KP switching his batting stance. And so there are multiple examples in every sort

very interesting take. very true.

almost all major rugby playing nations are bitc*ing about the springboks.
"change the rules, blah blah" "too many subs. blah blah"

similar complaints in cycling and most sports as @Speedster mentions

my point is .. top teams use the full length of the rules to their advantage.

And then whine when the rules are updated...
