They should just discontinue extreme wets seeing they just red flag the race if it gets too much for inters and drivers/teams should not pit and just wait for the inevitable red flag so they can get fresh tyres.

Drivers have told them this as far back as when Spa was stopped. They dont want to. Part of it is also that the red flag stops the clock whereas a slow full wet/safety car race doesn't, and when the clock runs out (2 hours?) the race is stopped.

Super fun race. Alpine take a bow. A bit of luck but a race Max will remember. McLaren not swapping Lando and Piastri with his 10s penalty irks me. Now for the FIA carnage.
