That start and first few corners was something probably never seen in F1 before. It was just magic.

Best part of the race was last 20 laps with Max in lead and Norris nowhere. It was comedy gold listening to the British commentators on SKY voices going softer in a state of depression.

Can someone explain.
Sprint race they wait almost 2 laps before they call safety car so Lando can pass Piastri first.
Qualifying they wait 50s before red flag so Max cant get another lap.
Race when Lando is way behind they call full safety car before Sainz car is even completely stopped.

Multiple drivers involved doing something odd usually would err on the side caution especially since it wasn’t a race start and the start was aborted.

Probably based on it not affecting the race and zero race advantage and a bunch of them that’s at least mitigating. No clue how stewards will rule tbh. 50/50.

Posted about it earlier. I’m betting sainzs manager probably played a hand if true. I’d be happy if this happened for Williams - losing their junior driver would be terrible

It would be a better situation for Williams and Colapinto, and probably Sainz as well.
