It seems there is something brewing in the Merc camp. LH making comments after the race that it might be his last race for the team also about going on a long holiday...

Is Merc going to put Antonelli in the car for the final three races?

With Perez the race start was the race start and gained an advantage vs others in the race. This scenario the race start was already aborted so no advantage for the race so sort of like speeding in the pit lane not under race conditions if you think about it.

He was talking to the pit crew/mechanics that gets rotated out now for the last three races.

€5000 fine and reprimand only. Difficult to imagine that would've been the extent of it if it was another driver because sometimes they feel like they need to give "the maximum allowed penalty" and other times not.

This season just needs to come to an end already.

Max you beauty what a driver

Norris even with the help of the FIA didn't do much .. spinning off twice I think it was

Lance is one terrible driver and confirms it every race

But dammit this was one exciting Race that worked out for max and the alpines

Norris still say oh it was luck ..a talented driver who never went off once in the rain is crazy
 
what a chaotic but amazing race.
Credit where it is due Max drove fantastically and deserved the win.
sadly Lando showed he does not have what it takes to be a champion.

I am very happy for the Alpine team, that was a good result for them.

Lewis and FErnando complainign about their bodies hurting during the race is not a good thing as both of them have a lot of experience in getting car set ups correct and not getting it dialed in is a bad sign for them.
 
Was there genuinely no British press at the post race interview?

I'm not talking about gaining any advantage vs not gaining, at the time the stance was "it doesn't matter, rules are rules", ditto for Verstappen's delta break where he did in fact back out completely and not gain any advantage

if that is the case it also should not matter that you messed up an aborted start, because "rules are rules"

Maybe they should add stickers with NFC chips on the track but off the racing line. Riding over one gives you an extra drs boost, or access to a super soft extra durable tire, or an allowed weight reduction to car so you can toss your water bottle etc. The options are endless.

My 5c for better action:

Get rid of DRS zones and give drivers 'x' minutes of DRS usage for the entire race. Use it under normal racing conditions for as long or whenever you like until you run out of the allocation for the race.

Dictate that all dry tire compounds have to be used over the course of the race. If wet then that falls away.
