Hey I'm not so sure, it will be their first Newey-less design. That fact has already shown this year how problematic the Red Bull aero situation is. We literally have no way of telling if the Red Bull car will be competitive.

Yip, I am sure he is a big loss, but the RB20 is still essentially a Newey car and it has been full of issues, so difficult to say if he stayed on if the RB21 would be back to dominating. These cars have reached their peaks in any case. I think the RB is fundamentally still a top car that has suffered from upgrades that exposed the underlying issues. If they can sort out the underlying issue, no reason why it won't still be a top 3 car next year. There have been glimpses, like in Austin at the quali, how fast the RB can still be.

remember guys, "it was luck"

Pure skill from Verstappen there, not even the first time he's done that at Interlagos.
Antonelli did something similar in F2 earlier this year at Silverstone.
Then there is also Bortaleto's last-to-first in F2 at Monza.

His lap times weren't luck at all, he drove like a pro.

There certainly was some luck with the timing of the red flag though, no doubt about that.
As well as some bad luck with the timing of the red flag in quali. Amazing how people moan about the one but ignore the other.

Besides it wasn't luck as much as strategy - listen to the radio messages and you'll hear.

What are you talking about? Who is moaning? And who ignored the other? And what does strategy have to do with good luck?

You Max fans really need to calm down a little bit and be a little more objective. You're defending your boy from an attack nobody made... breathe in and calm down.

He drover fantastically. He also did benefit from some good luck. It's not an insult, nor does it diminish his fantastic drive.

The strategy pre-empted the safety car/red flag. They knew rain was intensifying and they knew race control would have to step in. That's not luck. And that's why almost everyone on the grid made the same call. Even Russell wanted to make that call but was overruled by his pit wall.

My point is just that guys are quick to jump on the "good luck" from the red flag but ignore the very "bad luck" from just a few hours prior. If it weren't for the quali red flag he might very well have started on pole.

Yea but that had nothing to do with my message, which was a reply to a message about his lap times and winning. So what are you talking about?

Anyway, lets agree it was a great drive and leave it there.

Can everyone please stop complaining about Max's bad luck in Qualifying.
If that did not happen he would have started around 5th-7th place and by lap 30 he would have lapped Norris and the rest of the field.
How boring would that be?

good move to bring Boreteletto in.
considerign how good bearman, Kimi and Colepinto are when put in F1 cars, the person who is leading the F2 championship should be much better right?

now if only we can get rid of Stroll the grid would be basically perfect.

Realistically, RB and Max take the championship next year. McLaren are the only ones with a car which can challenge (currently at least) and they don't have the drivers to match Max. Piastri is great but not yet consistent enough. Lando is great but not consistent enough and I also think he's not aggressive enough.

Unless someone comes out the gate with a massively improved car, I don't think anyone beats RB as Max's skill tends to make up for any deficit in the car. Maybe Merc will do something with the car, but I doubt they make up that much performance from the off and I don't think Russell or Antonelli will be consistently good enough to mount a real challenge.
Ferrari definitely have a car to win the WC.

Hulk gets another demotion. Can't believe this guy's 'luck' in the sport.

Now Alonso's A14 management company manages a driver on the same grid as him, this is gonna be a bit weird 🤣
