There’s no reason he should be sitting for hours unless his paperwork was irregular and that’s highly unlikely as he’d be in a special waiver as part of the event itself.

Please be Andretti, please be Andretti.....

Watch it turn out to be Audi and this is just a big troll, haha.

"With Max Verstappen down in 17th after FP2, Red Bull admits it has brought the wrong rear wing to Las Vegas. #F1
Helmut Marko: "We don't have another rear wing, a smaller rear wing, as we see it on our competitors. It would be more helpful, for sure.""

A General Motors-backed Formula 1 entry is now likely to be approved after all: https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/f1-likely-approve-gm-backed-f1-team-andretti-changes/

"... But the most significant development is understood to have been a combination of the recent top-level change at Andretti Global and Michael Andretti’s decision to stand down from day-to-day leadership, and a renewed commitment from GM to be as involved as possible from the start of the project for 2026.

Andretti’s approach to trying to get on the grid has been controversial and caused friction between his side and FOM. And there were doubts that an Andretti-led entry might only be dressed up by the Cadillac name and arms-length GM involvement, which would make it uncompetitive and reduce the commercial benefits it would bring.

However, as reported by the Associated Press and confirmed by The Race’s sources, Andretti Global now being led by Andretti's business partner Dan Towriss has allowed for the impasse to be broken.

While it is not known what the entry would be submitted as, the original Andretti Cadillac name is expected to change. The Andretti name may disappear or at the very least have reduced prominence even though the organisation itself is the foundation for the entry. GM and/or Cadillac branding is the most logical outcome. ..."

Absolute landmark ruling! I just want an official announcement already!

no man, surely this is a joke?
It would cause too much controversy if true and leave new questions for FIA to answer about what really happened.
So I doubt it is even remotely True.

Personally I though wouldn't object to him coming back, even as a Hamilton Fan and being Anti Red Bull.

Masi was an excellent race director with many years of experience who learnt from the best (Charlie Whiting).
And I think that he was working under orders from FOM or the FIA with undue pressure from red bull, when he made the controversial decision.
In the resultant fallout and the FIA's attempts to sweep it under the carpet Masi became the fall guy.

F1 has not been the same since, with inconsistent decision making, random rules changes and now a new race director because, yet another one, has been fired without explanation or publicly released reason.

FIA and FOM appear to be running on a hidden agenda here.

On Wednesday it emerged Formula 1 teams have had to alter the way they run their floors due to a new technical directive by the FIA. Here is how the change could affect the teams involved

Who has had to make changes in Las Vegas?

On Wednesday, Red Bull and Ferrari first emerged as two teams that had to make modifications once this freedom was removed again by the latest TD. Intriguingly, it was Red Bull that actually raised the issue to the FIA after Brazil, which suggests that it felt Ferrari's solution was much more aggressive and beneficial, and that Red Bull was therefore happy to make some compromises to reel back its championship rival.

...seems like it backfired.
