F1 2025

Whats with backlighting on TVs... why did that become a thing? Seems counterintuitive.

It’s not a new thing at all.

Improves perceived contrast and colour by letting your eyes relax in a darker room by keeping your pupils enlarged due to the back wall being lit.

Ambient flashing synced coloured lights and that all are complete garbage though.

Ferrari, being Ferrari

Well not much could we have learned from this race that will happen the rest of the season.

All we learned is that Sainz not only get intimidated by Perez, but now also by the rain.

Also that even the Ferrari crew can see on data that your car is faster and you should easily overtake the car in front. They crying over the radio that you should just press the button and overtake. Yet old age, millions in the bank make you hesitant to risk it,

Ferrari and Red Bull made a good call not going in for inters when Mclaren and other did. They both however missed it when they did not come in the next lap when it was obvious the rain was more than expected. If they did they could have maybe taken the whole podium between the 3 of them.

Me watching the Grand Prix in 4K for the first time was glorious.

Sadly, even in the rain, it seems like a McLaren vs Verstappen battle for the championship. Will still be good to watch but next year will be wilder.

Australia always delivers, hell that was a good race. Super impressed with Lando's composure at the end there, last year he would have folded.

Max did very well to get a 2nd place but I think that Mclaren is going to pull away from the pack on dry tracks.

The question is whether any of the top teams will put in much time and resources to close the gap to Mclaren or rather just focus on 2026.

Oscar is hungry, I think there will be some epic fights between the two during the year.

Ferrari being Ferrari was classic.

I was also super impressed with Kimi.

and Albon? he scored more points yesterday than he did the whole of last year... Stroll finished 6th, which is a miracle <-- just let that sink in. Antonelli kept his cool and did exceptionally well being only 9 years old. Shame for Piastri... McLaren telling him to hold position just as he was ready to challenge Lando is a tad odd <-- British team, well this year is going to be interesting between the two of them. Max seems to be a one man show carrying the whole team again, but let's see how a normal dry race weekend goes. Ferraris, fml don't even start but no surprise.

I really wish they would clear the cars from the track quicker, fml put it in neutral and push it off that track?! 15min later and they are still having a safety presentation with a powerpoint display

Wonder if some people even watch the race and know what's going on?
Ferrari was looking at a 5th and 8th place, well whoop-de-doo.
They took a gamble that could have get both cars on the podium and even maybe a win. It did not work.
No clown show, They were 5th and 8th.

First race of the season run in unpredictable and changeable conditions.

Nobody knows what's going on or what is going to happen.
