based on his performance in Junior formula, he is less talented than Stroll.
stroll at least won a few things in Junior formula and as much as daddy's money bought him a seat at a good team he still performed in the car.

Doohan kind of did not perform, and it feels like there are other drivers who should have the seat ahead of him.

F2 last year was wild with many talented drivers and it was a tight season.
and the champion has a seat in F1. (borteletto wiht Sauber)
and the runner up has a seat in F1 (Hajar with Vcarb)
the two prema drivers also have seats (Bearman and Antionelli)

so maybe alpine taking a alpine junior into F1 is not the worst thing ever....

Even though Colapinto's junior career isn't all that spectacular as some others, it way out-shines Jack Doohan's.

I still wish Doohan all the best and I hope he makes the best of this opportunity
 
Everyone creaming over Ferrari and Lewis are quick to forget his years of kraai'ing at Mercedes.

Perhaps they like the kraai'ing. Upside is that now will get a double dose of it with LeClerc.

yes 100% agree.

sometimes you have drivers with great junior formula pedigree that just end up not doing much in F1. and sometimes you have drivers that dont do great in junior formula that end up being fantastic in F1.
 
Ferrari breaks drivers unless you are the strongest... but

LeClerc moans a lot, it drives Ferrari mad
Lewis moans an epic lot, this may break Ferrari

Ferrari will need to get a new radio station... this time the two drivers may break Ferrari

Let's see if Lewis can make a big enough change at the "prancing" horse. If he does Fred might just turn out to be the genius Ferrari needed all along.

Even Max was heard b*tching over the radio last year when he no longer had a good car.
 
It does state finish. Crashing out wouldn’t be considered finishing the race.

If he starts and is classified in the race result he would have to be considered as finishing.

He has an excellent record, granted, but he has finished outside the points in races where he crashed out or had mechanical failures.
