Max is a generational teammate crushing talent. The problem (for his teammates) is this is being done in a championship winning car. If he was annihilating teammates in a Sauber or a Haas, no one would be batting an eyelid. When Fernando Alonso was putting poor Stoffel van Doorne to the sword in that awful Honda (GP2 engine powered) McLaren, it barely made news.

And this is the problem they face. As long as one driver is fighting for the podium and wins, the other is expected to be there or thereabouts, which at this current juncture just isn't the case with that car. Max is on a level akin to Fangio, Schumacher, Senna et al. He will drag every last ounce out of that car and his poor teammate will be expected to do the same, which is not a given will happen.

Don't know why, but I also see that coming.
Keep giving Max a bad car and he will leave Red Bull like a sack of potatoes. Even an Aston Martin move might be possible the next few years if Newey tells him the car will perform. That will mean the end of Stroll as Max will not drive besides him.

I don't think it is just the car tbh. Listening to his recent interviews, he is over the social media antics and all the stupid young kid challenges that Red Bull are trying to push through every week. Then there is the backstage antics with Horny and the power struggles.

I think the man has matured and with a kid on the way a more mature team like a Merc or Aston might suit his lifestyle better in any case.

I think Merc, Aston, Ferrari and Mclaren should be in good positions from 2026. Established engines and established teams. Red Bull is hemorrhaging staff, Adolf Marco probably wont be around much longer and the Ford/RB powertrain has a huge question mark. For the past year they have also not been able to fix their fcking car so..

i was of the opinion that toto is putting his cards on george (or whatever. i dont play cards)

but the forum seems to know otherwise.

either way - i hope max goes shopping this year. preferably early-mid year

Not just the fact that Max is still the best driver on the grid atm, but he brings with him big money I would assume.

I have noticed as well that Kimi is always hanging around him, I think the kid looks up to him. Who better to groom a future champ than a 4 time champ.

Genuine question with no malice intended: Did Hamilton, Rosberg, Vettel, Verstappen have as many unforced major accident errors as Russell? Examples: near roll in Autralia last year, hit the wall and crashed out from second in Singapore (I think it was Singapore - night race with Hamilton behind him). Then we go back further - binned it behind the safety car when still with Williams. I do not recall those errors by world champions before or during their championship years......
I disagree. They have made PLENTY of errors.

Kimi Antonelli is Toto's pet project. He found Kimi while he was scooping up trophies left right and centre in the Italian karting scene while he was very young indeed. Toto has basically been guiding him through the process of getting to F1 for quite a few years now.

I don't know if you watched F1 in the 2010's when they'd cut to Toto with a small kid next to him...

This was 2018, before George. Kimi has been hanging around the Mercedes garage with uncle Toto for a long time.

i did not kow that. it was in that little window where i was off f1
thanks for the info

I think kimi is a generational talent. same tier as Max and Lewis.

but I also think he needed another year in F2, just to get used to the travel more. I think by the end of the year his results are going to be dropping off instead of improving.

also he does really really well in his 3rd race in a series. so Japan will be interesting. would be a decent bet to put money on Kimi winning, good odds I think.

Shame, Lawson has been removed and Yuki is yet to appear...

I didn't think Horner/Marko could piss me off more, but they found a way. What a bunch of unprofessional c*nts.
