Win every race Lando must come second and Oscar come third I think the math works

or something like that
There are 5 races and 2 sprints left, that's 141 points. If Max takes them all, that gets him to 447. Oscar is on 346, so would need 101 points and Lando needs 116 to beat a perfect Max finish.

Another way to view it is that Max needs to gain 40 points on Oscar and 26 on Lando. That's essentially 8 per weekend on Oscar and 5 on Lando.

Anyone what the tie breaker is - race wins?

I've said it 400 times.... Carlos Sainz WTF, brain of a peanut at times!

Anyway driver of the day Charles? sorry what... Max dominated like Pamela Anderson's chest in the 90's, and he gets nothing..

I don't see Max winning this year, too little too late, but he won't give up not for a second, but it's just too much to ask for. McLarens killing themselves on track from now on, hell yes that is going to happen!!

Is Piastri starting to crack under pressure?

I said this last year on these forums when people were talking about how cool and chill Piastri is while Norris was getting flustered by Max. We hadn't yet seen Piastri when the pressure is on. Well, the pressure is now on, and he has had a bit of a rocky run of late.

I do feel some of it has simply been bad luck.

Listening to his radio he was still pretty calm and composed, not like Norris and even to a degree Max you often can hear the difference with.

Crashed out in Azerbaijan, in quali and the race.

The Singapore incident where he was clearly flustered by what Norris had done.

Scrappy qualifying run this weekend that compromised his race and he didn't move forward in the race itself, so a very average weekend.

Very clear momentum shift over the past few races. Norris seems to be showing a bit of bite while Oscar has been a little shaky.

Yeah, Norris has been picking it up well lately and showing a bit more consistency.

Carlos Sainz has received a five-place grid penalty for next weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix after being found guilty of causing a collision with Kimi Antonelli during the United States Grand Prix.

Norris has the experience from last year. But I'll still back Max to go past him when the pressure is on again.

This is Piastri's first time, I'm sure he'll learn from it. Even Max and Hamilton didn't just get it on the first try...

he is cracking under pressure
but i also think papaya rules furking him over

wont be surprised they give him the slower car

cos norris car was flying

he caught charles too quickly

His qualifying was scrappy. Considering he is the championship leader, he has been on a run of 3 very poor weekends.

Also, F1 teams only maintain two rolling chassis with enough parts to put a third car together should one of their drivers total their car (EDIT: They will also need to fabricate a new tub in the event of a driver writing their car off). Piastri is driving the same car he started the season with. No funny business.
