Yes, for DTS fans. People into F1 for the drama and politics and fashion. Not the real racing fans, they don't care.

Well to be honest I don't like any of them but the e-Tron is closer to what I was expecting.
Looks like the Racing side are trying to distance themselves from the Road car side of the brand.
But it is all down to personal taste and if the Powers that be like it then it is not my place to say they are wrong.

Lets see it on the track...........

Lol. Were you around during the peak Eddie Jordan years? The man rented a hangar and an Airbus to launch his 2002 car. McLaren's 2007 launch was in front of 250,000 fans because it included a street display with Hamilton and Alonso racing around in F1 cars.

F1 launches used to be far showier in the past. The modern internet launches are trimmed down by comparison.

Corporate image/branding is a big thing for the German marques.

BMW did not allow any of their sponsors to have their own colours on the car. Blue and white, with an occasional bit of red (M Sport colours). That was it. Even when supplying engines to Williams, they dictated the same to Williams other sponsors. You can be on the car, but only in blue or white.

And also being German, bland is almost guaranteed. :p

This one is certainly not bland.
It is almost the perfect livery for Lewis Hamilton,
Silver for the Mclaren Mercedes / Silver Arrows era, then the shorter Mercedes Black era, with a splash of red as a nod to his Ferrari career so far. :unsure: :laugh:
 
I've owned and loved Audi's ever since my late Uncle acquired a VW/Audi Dealership.

I'm super excited to see them competing in F1.

They've excelled in all facets of motorsport over the years.

I'm expecting them to make a significant impact in F1 too...

The cynic in me says that a day or two before testing F1TV will introduce a pro membership, at some ridiculous charge, that will allow those willing to pay to watch. They will primarily be journalists, and priced to keep the fans out so that the fans rely on the reports from the journalists.

F1 has become manipulated under American control such that it is hardly a sport anymore and has rather become more of a production.

Nice, I like it, very close to the old design but enhances the new lines nicely. Now lets see if it is as fast as it looks ;) :)
