F1 2026

Snooze fest of a weekend coming up. I personally dislike Monaco.

Qualifying is always exciting, but the race is just boring as hell with not much happening except a crash here or there and some pit stop racing.

Yet, I watch it each year, just in case…

The drivers love it too. Ask any of them which race they want to win and Monaco will likely be top 3.

The Ladies of the house want to see it, it is the only event that they watch and it is more about the glitz and glamour than the cars. But that said, I am happy to watch with them for that race as they don't give me problems when I disappear for most of the other GP weekends and watch in my office to minimise distractions.

The qualifying is good, let's hope for rain on Sunday to spice up the race as well.

Absolutely the best race on the calendar!*

*If you are lying on a multimillion dollar yacht with a drink in hand while being served grapes by some buxom lass watching the cars race by.
I don't suppose you have a contact for those tickets?

Probably time Monaco got cancelled.

This year was probably one of the best chances for good racing.
Smaller cars. Lots of energy harvesting from braking zones. More energy deployment making the cars harder to control.

I say was, because now I see this kak. F1 is supposed to be the peak of motorsport, why are we gimping them?
To neutralize this threat, the FIA is enforcing the “Rev 1” engine map. Under standard operating procedures, known as the “Base” mode, maximum electrical deployment only begins tapering off at 290 km/h. Under the new mandate, the electrical power reduction will aggressively begin at just 200 km/h.
