F1 2026

I was thinking this was a relatively interesting race overall

Then I realised I was watching a 45 minute highlights package.

Actually I'd highly recommend it for monaco

boring race up until the safety car

the cars are still not 100%

the FIA are furked ..penalties for no reason

monaco still one of the most beautiful tracks but also karkest track on the calendar

they need to race here for fun

Okes shouldnt be bothered by Lewis and his crazy fashion antics etc. The guy is peculiar in his own way, but easy to ignore, so i support your view of watching another sport if it bugs you.

Regarding Brundle, I dont believe he has a right to any acknowledgement on the grid. If people dont want to talk to him, that their business. His grid walk is a tradition, and for those who want to partake great, for the rest i dont see why F1 fans get upset. More an more Americans are watching, and they don't give a toss about Skysports or Brundle.

Do other broadcasters do a gridwalk, i dont know, but lets say a French broadcaster wanted to chat to a British celeb and they ignored them, would people get upset? Doubt it.

Does anyone still watch Sky coverage?

Jolyon Palmer does one for F1TV, but he keeps it strictly F1 related (no celebrities).

If you watching on Supersport its all Skysports coverage.

Fans get upset because a grid walk is the ultimate privilege for a fan and many believe it should be reserved for those who actually would appreciate it or at least have a basic understanding of the sport. Ignoring Brundle is almost a litmus test for whether they should or shouldn't be there.

that was the best Monaco Race I have ever watched. not a single overtake other than at starts but still so much going on.

I am super happy that Kimi is Equaling LH's record of 5 wins in a row, and to do that as his first 5 wins is even more impressive.
I said the kid has talent, but I also said I thought he needed a year in a Williams before moving to Merc. I was wrong he needed a year in a Merc with bottas teaching him and trying for his seat to truly motivate him.

Hadjar had a fantastic race. being able to put it on the podium with a car that had as many problems as he had was reminiscent of Danny Ric's win back in the day.

LH equaling Senna's podiums at Monaco was nice. I hope he breaks that next year but I dont think he will.

one unpopular opinion however.
the way Lec and Stroll put it in the wall at the same place, in the same way, and then a red flag to clear marbles from the track and do inspection is concerning. means Either LEC is as talented as Stroll, or there was an issue wiht the track and Stroll did not make a mistake. I am leaning more to the marbles causing the brakes to not work as well as they should have and both Stroll and LEC were passengers in the crashes.

really sad that Checo got 2 penalties for start infringements, and it costing cardiac its first points, and giving AM their first points. I did not think either team would score points this season at all.

Money and connections are the only thing that reserve you any rights to a grid walk - nothing else. Sad but true, and any fan would know this by now - the sport has changed and is changing. Not much in F1 comes without one of those two things these days. Monaco takes it to another level.
