The other thing is Honda has had a great track record in Indy when they signed to supply the power units for all cars. Never had a retiring from engine failure, but sense the F1 struggle things changed...
Would be sad to see Honda leave McLaren but it is time
 
Except it's becoming an object of ridicule now. It's just amazing that this is their second season and they are so dismal.

Jip, I am a huge Honda fan, all my Bikes and almost all cars where Honda's but light in recent event...

Think us McLaren fans are looking for the good 'ol days when Senna raced. Sadly that glory seems to be always out of reach

As Alonso said today, he's never driven a race car with so little power as he did today.

It is sad, not really a paddock interview, the reporters caught him next to the track (Before the race) (SkyF1) . He was not happy, Brundle even gave commentary advice of not getting angry or shooing reporters, etc, etc

He hasn't even managed a finish third season, he's going to get even more unhappy as the season progresses unless there's a Honda miracle or a new engine supplier.
 
You mention Senna, but it wasn't that long ago that McLaren were fighting with Ferrari for podiums...
 
You're forgetting about the days of Michael Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen, and Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa, has there been a closer championship than the Hamilton Massa battle of 2008?

As a Hamilton fan I'm kicking him for throwing an opportunity away. He is passionate and sometimes a bit too emotional.

What Seb did last week had no effect on the race results oddly enough. He ended up being 6th by the time the Race stuards made a decision.

Though the pit lane issue was neither, he just didn't accelerate quick enough after passing the white line.

Here's what Ric said:

"I believe before pit entry that was fine, but here, where he's not going quick, I believe that's why he got the penalty.

"I would have done it before the pit lane, because I think that's A-OK. I'm not going to tell him my secrets, but I would have done it differently."

AIUI the line concerned was the second to last line, so it was just over a car length, Hamilton was probably already fixating on the pit and forgot that he had to get up to pit lane speed.
