He would need a new car to do that, the RB is not even in the same league at present. There are plenty of drivers capable of challenging, just not any cars that can.

Yea the overheating is odd. Narrow track, wonder if the heat is not dissipating well. Frustrating to see Hamilton reel Raikonnen in, then let him go again to handle cooling. He's also blistering now.
