It’s probably due to the fact he gained a position by going all 4 wheels off. I can’t think of anyone else who managed a pass like that in the race.
If they are not allowed off the track then build a wall of put in hay bails, this is bull. You can't expect them to use paint as track limits, they need a physical block or something that penalises the driver rather than the stewards..

I just wish they'd been consistent throughout the race on those calls.
Daniel Ricciardo says he was unaware that Max Verstappen had been given an upgraded engine for this weekend's United States Grand Prix.
