F1 - General discussion and 2017

geeeeez im so over the verstappengate business but these sky f1 guys will just never let go of the little piece of excitement

Vettel is a Pain in the ar5e but right now the poor guy has a pain in his ar5e.

Sometimes I wonder if the commentators want to ask Verstappen if he completed schooling but we know the answer to that. He is too much rage. I remember Schumacher was similar but Senna schooled him into having respect.

Looking forward to the crowning of a new member of 4 time world champion club this weekend

In case you ever doubted it...

Bernie Ecclestone admits F1 has 'always helped' Ferrari to win

Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed what many have always believed, that Formula 1 bosses have done "so many things" to aid Ferrari's success in the sport.

Ecclestone, who no longer controls the sport following Liberty Media's recent takeover, admitted in an interview with Italy's La Repubblica that he and former FIA president Max Mosley have aided Ferrari's success over the years through regulation changes, because the sport has always benefitted from the brand doing well.

"Helping Ferrari has always been the smartest thing to do," he said. "And it has always been done through technical regulation [changes].

"The teams are important for F1, but Ferrari is more than that, so many things have been done over the years that have helped Maranello win."

Given the way mcLaren was treated when Mike C was caught sharing intel, it makes you realise just how deep the hypocrisy runs. It also casts a shadow on Todt given that he would have at the very least been aware of the favours.

Other teams should dredge this up and force Bernie and max to come clean with the details. Its absolute bull.

It also confirms that Ferraris success has been worthless in real racing terms.

Very cool radio transmission from Perez there... Well played Sky Sports F1.

Missed it. What was said?

Nothing to do with the car or quail at all... Perez basically thanked folk for coming out to support him at his home race. English and Spanish transmission, about a minute long.
