Ocon's on track. Stroll, for the first time on this run, does not improve with his latest lap.

Staying on the topic of McLaren, we're told that Stoffel Vandoorne will be focused on aero work in the MCL32 this morning.
Alonso was adamant last night that the chassis of the car was sound and fun to drive. The problem, as you may have heard, is only the Honda engine.
At the end of his remarkable press conference, Alonso was asked whether he was taking Turn Three flat-out. He almost burst out laughing before explaining that, because of the reduced power from the Honda, he was taking every corner flat-out...:crylaugh:

Ocon's just improved to a 1m24.082s, getting himself comfortably ahead of Stroll and into third on the board. Almost 45 minutes of today's testing completed.
Turns 7 and 8 are quite a good watch on the CCTV. The car's look reasonably impressive even with the grainy picture. Maybe it's because we can't nail those Esses on the F1 2016 game to save our lives.

Talking of Vandoorne, the Belgian has completed three stints totalling four laps so far in the opening three quarters of an hour.
It seems that 11 laps is the most the MCL32 has strung together in one go so far this winter, so McLaren will be hoping to at least try and build up rather more than that with what's left of the Barcelona running.

Esteban Ocon has moved third quickest on the charts in the Force India.
The Force India was quietly impressive last week. A week on, it's all rather quiet there. There's certainly the potential this winter that they've been overtaken by Renault and Williams. Maybe.

Ericsson does indeed get on the board with a 1m26.990s, which is the slowest time so far. Ocon's improved again, he's now on a 1m22.967s.
Ericsson shifts himself off the foot of the times with a 1m26.341s. Still waiting to see a flying lap from Vandoorne, Palmer, Ricciardo and Magnussen though.

Stroll, furious at being displaced from fourth in the early running, comes very close to getting back ahead of Ericsson but falls 0.094s short. It's a 1m25.887s.

Rachel Brookes reports that Lewis Hamilton is likely to complete some "performance runs" later this morning, which could well serve to shake up the combined testing timesheet.
As mentioned, Hamilton has already lapped this morning quicker than at any point of the winter, on supersoft tyres, but team-mate Valtteri Bottas has previously had several short runs on the ultrasoft.
It's usually been the final hour of the morning session for those kind of runs, from 11am to 12pm UK time (1pm - 2pm CAT), so keep an eye out then!

One theme we have seen so far in Winter Testing is these new wider Pirelli tyres lasting a lot longer than we usually see in Barcelona. The soft tyres just keep going and going, while Lewis Hamilton even completed 20 laps on the ultrasofts yesterday.
Because of this, Force India technical director Andrew Green is predicting one-stop races in 2017, and perhaps even a change in tyres.
"They appear to be lasting a lot longer than last year," he told Sky F1's David Croft. "We've got a soft tyre now that can just about do a race distance in Barcelona at Winter Testing, which is sort of unheard of.
"Looking ahead to other races, that would mean we're going to be doing one stop. I'm sure it's going to get tweaked. Where we are now, we could see some quite dull races."
