F1: Team or Driver ?

A guy that cant take a beating and accept defeat, whatever the circumstances, is not a man at all.:D

Now, lets all remember the Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve and Monaco 2006 incidents to name but a few. :p

The problem for me is that I basically supported any driver or team that wasn't Schumacher, and by implication, Ferrari. Now there's this huge vacuum that I don't know how to fill mentally.

Kimi's always been cool, but can I reconcile my Schumacher-derived hatred for Ferrari with the Iceman? I have supported Alonso and Renault, and Kimi and Mclaren mostly because they were the drivers/teams most likely to oust Schumel.

I think I may support at wild card team/driver combo like Kubica @ BMW.

Exactly my predicament

Yep - exactly

Funny how the Schumi supporters have selective memories. As for him consoling his mechanics... what choice did the man have, nothing he could do would have helped :D I wouldn't call him a bad guy for being frustrated... but hey, after so many records and so much money, he prolly feels he owes the team more than they owe him... he was after all the biggest beneficiary.

Team, but with a few selected drivers too. ;)

Heh, nobody mentioned Honda. With Button (who finally won a race this year) and Barrichello - a very good driver in his own right - there is the potential to go far if they work out their reliability issues and get a bit more speed out of the car. It's a young team, and they are still learning - but I reckon that's a wild card worth watching.

Don't forget BMW Sauber either. With the BMW name, technology and cash backing the team, it won't be long before that name is in lights either.

Anyway, I've always been a Renault fan - right from the days of Williams Renault. Nice to see them getting some at last - nice to see anyone getting some instead of Ferrari! :D

I've always been a driver supporter. Next year I'll be watching kubica with great interest. Given that it's unlikely he will win the championship I am guessing that I will "support" Alonso for the championship. I think he is ther better package as compared to Kimi.

Both team and driver
Support the team because of the car and the driver because of skill etc.
Gets a bit wierd when the driver you support isn't driving for the car you support:)
Going to have to decide on a new driver now.

Lol - someone thinks Ferrari are invincible... I guess when you are the FIA and Bernie's blue eyed baby, then that may be true...

Has M$ had to change his engine.

(please, please, please)

I was having a discussion with a friend. It is actually in Ferrari's interest to let kimi and massa race. I personally am not a great kimi fan. I think there is something he is missing. But he will be in a car that performs well.

However if Ferrari allow massa to race, I think that he could upstage him. Massa has shown a great deal with racing with MS to suggest that in an even race he could show up kimi.

Yah, I am a driver supporter, and with Michael leaving I will probably spent the next few years searching for a replacement for him. There is simply nobody that stands out as a champion at the moment... sigh

what more does a back-to-back world champion have to do?

Alonso? Not my kind of "champion" Nor is Kimi... They both have a pathetic side to them and will probably go and cry behind the stands when they loose...
