Anyone else receiving EXTREMELY slow speed/Connection Failur errors on the facebook website?

I have contacted 5 of my friends and they are all having the same issues...

It's not only on the facebook website, but on many other international and local websites that don't even load, and if they do that running at snail speeds....

Called iBurst they say everything is running fine from their side...

I have had some intermittent failures to connect to various websites that resolve when retried a few minutes later.

Same problem here. I called them yesterday and they gave me the following dns to use :
Primary : 196.30.31.193 Secondary : 196.46.70.1
It didn't help much :/

PS : Facebook works fine on adsl so it's def iBurst.

Fuggem- those are just their normal dns servers anyway. If you want to make an actual change that may even help, use one of those and then add OpenDNS' servers after that (look in bottom RHS of screen for server IPs.

Trying OpenDNS now...at least FB loads in 25 seconds now. Ai.

This thread relates to http://www.mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=104954&page=2 as well.....

I have not been able to access facebook.com (and many other sites) since 7am this morning!!!!!!

iBurst techies are a bunch or morons, i actually CANNOT deal with them any longer. I get told that resetting my modem will sort my problem out?!

This service has become ridiculous.

facebook works fine on ADSL, Vodacom and MTN networks.... It's obviously iBurst to blame on this one.....

For the past few days I've also been having random problems like the:
"Connection Failure

The requested URL could not be retrieved"

Error then if I refresh a couple times it works again.

Ok, I just got a call from iBurst (7:45 pm) saying that they've made a few changes to their systems. I seem to be working fine tonight, no timeouts, no errors, is everyone else working ok? They are calling me again at 4:45 pm tomorrow to check that I'm satisfied that everything was resolved, at the moment, I'm happy.

It always works better after hours...
Real test would be tmrw during working hrs.

Hubby called them and they gave him some story about not having managed to reboot their servers yet after last nights maintenance and that it should be working by 8 (didn't say which year though) :P
*sigh*

"should be working by 8"

So all of those F---heads are sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee and talking **** and they are only willing to work when the bell rings. Wow iWorst is a ****-ing great company.
