Facebook SUX!!!! Although i have it, should maybe cancel my profile again.
Mxit is WAY cool, its dangerous but as long as you don't do something stupid its ok. I could give out my adress here and it could get just as dangerous as mxit.
Well if you have a girl on facebook and you flirt with other girls your girl might get a bit mad. Otherwise i guess they're both pretty harmless if used properly eh.

Both are useful in their own ways.
Facebook for meeting / reconnecting and chatting to old friends and even making new friends.
Mxit for low cost communication.

I don't think there is a concept of safer or friendlier since the two apps are used for different purposes. Personally use facebook maybe 1 / week mxit depending on my workload and boredom levels.
