Faced with worst cold/flu.

For Seven (7)+ years I was spared and now it got to me. My family gets it every year but not me untill now! All because I fell asleep in the bath at 2AM in the morning a few days back. Woke up freezing.

Now what. Cough, sneeze, slime, chest, painfull joints.... well just ****ty to say the least.

Any quick cures?

Benylin FTW... Works for me everytime
That and ur favourite blanket, Series channel and plenty of water :D

Howd you manage to sleep in cold water?

I use Nurofen colds and flu...
 
There is a really bad flu doin the rounds! It knocked me flat for a couple weeks. Still lingering on ! Nothing Helped, not even anti Biotics for the secondary infections !!! Damn bugs are strong these days.

I've got it too. :(

Started feeling the throat "tickle" late on Friday night. Sat-Sun-Mon I was buggered. With lots of sleep I've started recovering since yesterday. Haven't used any meds other than the odd panado and a bit of homemade lemon tea but I am feeling much better now.

It's one of those ones that hits you in the head (sinus) and then works its way down. Just got to stop it from getting to your chest because then the real trouble starts.

Echinaforce, ask for it at any pharmacy, I use the tablets, about R72 a box.

I have thought about putting cal-c-vita in with it, but always wandered if it would have an negative effects. So I suffer through the corenza (:sick:) and then rinse the taste down with cal-c-vita.
 
I landed up with this flu and within 3 days i had acute bronchitis. It's a very strong strain of flu this year around.

Hot toddy will sort you out one time.

One disprin, one shot of whisky, one spoon of honey, lemon juice, ginger and 3 ounces of hot water. I've heard it knocks you for six but you feel 10 times better the next morning

I love the stuff, specially the new orange one, delicious stuff, better than coke! (not coke zero though, nothing beats coke zero)

Is that the one that is meant to taste like "pineapple"? If so, that one is just as disgusting if not worse than the plain one!
