It is very hard to compare Factorio to other games because it is dissimilar to similar genre titles. I would, however, pick RimWorld over Factorio.

This is what this game will do to you.

I bought it in August 2016.

It just never gets old.

Always just that much more you can do to grow the factory / make it more efficient / load a few mods / go on a murderous rampage against the alien scum.

I absolutely love this game. But yes, if you value your time avoid

You could have a had successful career by now if you spent all that time on Udemy.

You could have a had successful career by now if you spent all that time on Udemy.

I could have, however - the game cost me R120 odd rand or so back then - Udemy would have been much more expensive

For anyone not sure, give it a try... there is a reason it is known as Cracktorio

It does, but I bought the game in 2016 and have gone back to it repeatedly it's really great for those with OCD.

For those who want to acquire the game now, thank to Prior's excellent article, it is best to wait until the next Steam 'big' sale which is soon. The Halloween sale is to start later this month into November.

AFAIK the game has never and will never go on special something the dev's have been quite adamant about.
