For me the biggest time eater games have been Rimworld, Kerbal space program and Stellaris.

Could never get into "factory" games

Diablo 3, The Division 1/2, CSGO, and I 'religiously' replay my adventure and cRPG games. I have a ritual with the Ultima series as much as I have with Avadon and Avernum. I also probably have the most hours on earth with LBA 1/2. Fallout 1/2, the Forgotten Realm and Planescape series albeit I haven't revisited these in some time, other series would include PoE and Divinity (the originals and the original sin). I support indie adventure games and cRPGs big time. I honestly don't want to know how many total gaming hours I have.

I am also a NPC in Encased, real name and everything, 'n regte ****

I have a checklist, Beyond Good and Evil and Anachronox is on this year's list, and next year it is the Final Fantasy series. I replay games a lot, and only those with good stories, and when not it should be humorous and I do like my dark humour. Investigative thrillers are also awesome, like the Tex Murphy series, Sherlock Holmes series (incl. the originals) and the good old Laura Bow amongst others.

The only strategy game in which I have poured hours in are SINS, and I even played it competitively at some point. They still have their ladders. Talking about strategy, not too many people liked these two, but Dune and Reunion are also two games which I replay, as well as Star Control 2/3, and the new dud, but this series is my sweetheart and not to be discussed here openly.

I checked now, between January 2017 and now I have played a combined 7876 hours (incl. idle time) in Steam and GOG (this excludes my Anthem, Diablo 3, The Division 1/2 hours and other non Steam/GOG titles). Many people spend a lot more time than I do in gaming.

Got to agree. Of all the gamers I know, Factorio is one game that they all have.

Fun game indeed.

Besiege was a cool game. Haven't checked if they ever developed it further. I'm not a big fan of these low or pixel graphic indie games on PC.

Factorio is an excellent fit for anyone with AHDH. You can fully immerse yourself in building a portion of your factory with a view to blueprint it (save the design and automate robots to build more of it), get distracted and realize you need more nuclear power. On your train ride to your nuclear plant you notice you're running low on iron production, so you quickly build a new iron ore mine and upgrade your smelter, but then you run out of materials so you head back to base to get more, but then the aliens attack your walls and you have to upgrade your defenses, which then makes you realize you can't place any more laser turrets because you don't have enough power, so you go back to upgrading power, but you then realize you might want to first upgrade your nuclear enrichment factory, and on and on :D

There are many streamers playing and promoting the title, but I wanted to know how many local players there are.
there are a few discord channels that have about 40 people a night playing ( multiply by the number of channels) at least the ones i am on, im sure there are more

Not aliens really, they're local folk, indigenous to the planet, but tend to move around a lot. The game is about temporary colonisation and resource exploitation, in order to build a spaceship to get the hell outa there. During that time, the pollution from your factory causes the locals to get all cross, and they conduct destructive protest marches. To a certain degree they are also cross about the game's focus on automation and mechanisation, so I guess they have no jobs. But even if they had no jobs, they haven't any skills to offer. So you get to shoot, burn, nuke, and exterminate them.

Great game!
