How often are you chaps planning on going to the FAN PARKS?

In Cape Town, I will probably be watching alot of the games at the Bellville Veledrome FAN PARK.

I saw the structure of the 3 FAN Parks today at work and how it is going to be implemented.

Looks pretty decent and looks like it can be alot of fun.

Will probably only go on the weekends, still have to work during the week.

I was in Germany, watched the final and 3rd place playoff at the Brandenburg gate fan park. It was awesome. However it was summer, and standing around or sitting on the ground was okay. Might be a bit chilly in SA, and wet in Cape Town.

Cape Town will have a tent over the entire parade.

Weather wont be an issue. I saw pics of the ones in Germany and they were flippen crazy insane.

I'm definitely gonna try find a nice one here in Pretoria and watch a couple of games!

Durbs on the beachfront with the foreign babes... oh yeah! I say we get a MyBB gathering for those ones, LOL

Hell no! In this case, the 'sharing is caring' rules does NOT apply... (Now be quiet as I try to sell the 'sharing is caring' rule to my gf :p)

Really? Thats not what the fan fest website shows.

The current plans show a stupid plan. One screen only. Limited areas under cover. Outdoor tables and chairs taking up half the space....during winter!

The CTICC expo is the best place to be. Indoors. International Acts. Lots of space.

Our events department is planning some special stuff at the FAN PARKS. Saw some of the work yesterday and it looked pretty cool.

Actually just got to chatting with some colleagues now at the office about FanParks and think I'll give Bellville a go if I'm off from work.

For some reason fifa decided to located the pretoria fan park way out of central pretoria. Its located at super sport park. That's just way out of the way. Should have had one located at ss park for the centurion residents and another one closer to the actual city. Guess hatfield will have to do for mingling with other world cup people.

The original plan was to have the fan park at the Union Buildings, but it was deemed a security risk.

Having the fan park at SS park is awesome for me :D

Hatfield could also be awesome to watch the WC games. I watched some of the Confed cup games there and had a jol!

They sould have had two fan parks like joburg has. One in centurion and one more centrally close to loftus/hatfield/brooklyn/menlyn.

Venue? I can't really think of anything big enough to host enough people to make it worthwhile besides Loftus (which is out of the equation).

Going to the briefing for the fanparks at 6pm where they are hopefully going to explain how exactly the Fan Parks are going to operate.

Will keep the forum posted for the Cape Town Fan Parks if the information is worthwhile.

Cantera which fan park will you be at?
