Recommended graphics card is only a 8600GTS
I get the odd hiccup when the game access the HDD. That could just be my PC. I got a cpu bottleneck as well

I have 180.43 too, but as a point of interest: seems nVidia have pulled this driver from the web site now.

and I'm running everything on highest with 2xanti-aliasing. So the requirements arn't really that high. I just have to say omg the driving is pissing me off! Its fun the first 5 hours but every mission includes at least 10min of driving around.
The game is fun + beautiful but the driving can really detract from the greatness of the game. Hopefully a mod will be released soon that spices the game up and fixes the driving issue.

The driving isn't as bad as its made out to be.... Yes you do drive quite a bit, but there are plenty of Guard outposts along the route, as well as those vehicle patrols.
Can't remember where it was said, but the beginning is the slow part. I found once I had weapons that I actually WANTED to use, my experince has changed greatly for the better!!

The driving gets irritating, thats for sure. I'm pretty bored already. Whats worse is that I have run into some glitch. I do a mission where I blow up the diamond mine for Andre, but my objective is to go back and tell Hakim the good news. Wtf? Hakim isnt even there when I get back and I cant do anything. Im stuck and a little irritated. Got RA3 today so might just fire that up.

The bus stops can help to get you from place to place a little quicker.

Im loving FC2, its tons of fun and is keeping me occupied for a while. I dont mind the driving, it doesnt bother me much. I do hate the respawns at guard posts

In my crates I have:
1 of the 2 pistols in the Sec crate
.50 in the Prim crate (found it early in the game - Best quality)
Machine gun thingy in the special crate...
depending on the area, i usually stop by my safe house before the fight and pick whats necessary
