So far im very impressed - runs pretty well on full - AI seems ok, driving and boating is decent. Ive got a few safe houses and 2 buddies, building up my diamond supply. Veld fires are awesome the way they move around with the wind. Lots of local accents and dialects which is fun to listen to ingame 
Definitely worth the buy imo.

Veld fire is fun, and also the physics of the leaves after explosion.etc.
I heard some of our official language inside, anyone can confirm?
Around 30 FPS on my machines 1680*1050,2X AA, everything else on high or very high.

Iv been playin all morning. Its cool, although there are some weird issues regarding realism for me.
Firstly, doesnt Africa pretty much use right hand drive cars? ie, the steering wheel should be on the right side, not left side. I may be wrong on this one.
I also found it odd that there are so many white people running around. Dont get me wrong, I dont mean to be racist. But generally speaking (pretty much ALWAYS), African war lords are black men. And im pretty sure there arent any white run rebel militia groups running around the veld sporting Rhodesian or South Africa accents.Its just a statement of fact.
Lastly, I think the way they have captured authentic brid calls is awesome. BUT, they should also know when to trigger them. Hearing a ring neck dove or morning dove chiming in at 9pm kinda spoils the imersion for me. Anyone who has spent any time on an African nature reserve will tell you that the only bird you will hear at night is an Owl, right? Im no expert, so i stand to be corrected.
I guess im beaing picky here. The game still play awsome, but so far, the African experience is i bit off the mark in my opinion.

All depends what resolution and settings you want to run and what's your understanding of OK.

Yea its awesome, i didnt mean to say I wasnt. Those were just a few things that I noticed in the first hour.
Why import cars from america for the "war effort"? In reality, It would be far cheaper and easier to get cars from SA. I depends how far north the country is, but based on the Southern African dialects, Afrikanse, and SA accents, I would think it must be pretty close to here. Anyways, its hardly game ruining stuff haha.
Its just unusual to play a game that features such a familiar background, so I automatically noticed the things that didnt quite fit right. The game is great so far, my biggest problem right now is my frame rate. My 8800gts 320Mb just isint coping with 1680x1050 with 2xaa.Think its time for an upgrade
The game has a lot going for it so far. Im not that far in, but it looks amazing and feels nice and solid. The openended game play is looking cool and the firefights are challenging and fun. So, all in all, good job Ubisoft

This is a try it before you buy it game for me. I bought Crysis and was thoroughly disappointed, so I'm not risking another R350. Though I do prefer Ubisoft to Crytek and the game does look awesome, but it's better to be on the safe side.
Thankfully I just did that
I installed the game but it wont start
It does that securiRom thing, goes to 30% and then the box goes away...
Were you guys asked for the cd-key when installing it??

No it doesn't ask for a cd key when installing. When you run the game the first time it asks for the key to activate the game.

Some more in-depth information I'd like to add here for those interested. Ubisoft owns the Far Cry intellectual property even though Crytek were the ones who developed it. Crytek then decided to break from Ubisoft as their publisher and throw in their lot with EA. Naturally Ubisoft didn't want to give them their IP back.
This IP included the original CryEngine.
So Crytek developed CryEngine 2 with which they built Crysis. EA sold it for them and took the publisher's cut of the sales.
This isn't entirely correct as you may see if you read my comments above. Crysis was built on a completely new engine called CryEngine 2. Crytek couldn't use CryEngine as the base for their new engine because Ubisoft owns it. Ubisoft actually started building Dunia from CryEngine but according to an interview with the producer only a handful of lines of code from the original CryEngine remain in Dunia.
