Far Cry 2 is out

You need 2 sets of drivers for nividia cards. I may be wrong depending on what type card you have but I do.

It has the normal Nvidia drivers but you also need nForce drivers too. My BF2 used to crash everytime i loaded certain maps. There was only one server that didnt freeze for some reason. I updated the nForce drivers and everything got sorted

Got a free flask. Don't which game that came with though :D
 
Mine told me my ATI drivers where out of date, but works fine otherwise. I updated to the 8.10 drivers this morning and then it would not start, got the splash screen and then back to desktop with nothing. Went back to the my old 8.7 drivers and it works again.

you would only need nForce drivers if your motherboard uses an nvidia chipset.
 
Well received my copy yesterday and have to say : I LOVE IT

Installed and started up without any problems, I am currently running it on very high settings in wide screen mode.

The detail is amazing as well as the game play, the load time and saving time is quick.

If you play this and you dont have 5.1 sound and speakers, get it, it makes all the difference, especially the little %%^$#$% that wont stay down when you shoot them, and when you turn around you hear them getting up.

Reading up on the Net, it seems that this is quite a common problem. I tried everything. Updated to the latest and reinstalled graphics drivers. Nothing. Fresca. This sux.

I've tried all the nVidia drivers from 169 through to beta 180 and no luck yet. Sometimes it works for about 10 seconds which means I can actually see what the game looks like, but it will hang shortly thereafter. Funny thing is it runs fine WHEN it runs. But 95% of the time the game hangs on the loading screen.

I have to agree theres no story or anything behind it. All you do is shoot shoot shoot, There are no cool missions just the same thing over and over SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT.:mad:

Yeah, and I can't find the cheats to unlock all weapons as I want to try them out, don't want to wait for the lengthy upgrade dates.

Is it not perhaps your connection to the securerom server? Only if you have a legal copy, go to gamecopyworld.com, and download the no dvd patch, see if that does not work
 
Potentially stupid question. Is the a dedicated server for FC2 out yet? Google seems to withholding that info from me lo. :)

Or, try the manual SecurROM activation ;)
 
I also had a problem last night, I ran the widescreen patch, and after that I kept on getting an error that I should insert the original cd (which is in the dvd drive you scumbad securerom), so I just used the no dvd patch and its working like a charm now
