How do they know he has a firearm?
I think I said it earlies but if not, it is going to get worse. They will come closer and closer each time until they get into your house.Had 3 visitors again this morning right behind the houses, at 3h30.When I wanted to go outside to check my 5 YO started crying and telling me I can't leave. Luckily the ran when security spotted them. It's only a matter of time before this country sees a full scale war of some kind, no way we can go buckled under this amount of crime forever, something will give.
Open carry? Like illegally open carry?Maybe he caries it on his person, as one should...

OkOr they received intel from inside the house. Anything is possible.
You hire a handtyman to paint your house. He sees a safe and starts asking what sounds like innocent questions...
Even that oom you met at the bar may be collecting information for thugs!

And please, the stupidest thing you can do is to go outside, even in your car. You are leaving your family behind and who is then responsible for their safety? Call security and stay inside with any type of weapon. Convert one of the rooms in the house into a sort of safe room with a reinforced door, weapons inside as well as a fire extinguisher, good torch, spare torch batteries.
Explain to your family that when something happens you all go to that room immediately, lock it behind you, call the cops and security.
They are going to break into your house so best you be prepared. Get enough lights outside and a **** loud siren.

Yes, also an axe to break down the burglar bars from the inside if needs be.Just to add, get some smoke/oxygen mask things in there too, fire blankets and what not, especially for little ones... basically, anything you think you may need to get kids through a fire to safety with as little harm as possible

This entire thread is very sad. The Orcs are winning. #****Hole

Free State police are trying to establish whether a display sword was used to kill an elderly farmer, whose stab-wound-riddled body was found in the passage of his farmhouse over the weekend.
Klaus Meier, 81, who lived on a farm in Ladybrand, was last seen alive around 17:00 on Friday, Captain Phumelelo Dhlamini said.
"His body was discovered by his wife [on] Sunday morning when she went home," he said.
The family dog had also been stabbed multiple times, but it was not immediately clear whether it survived.
Dhlamini said they found a display sword in the home.
However, they have not yet established whether it was the murder weapon.
The police were trying to work out how many people were involved in the attack.
No one has been arrested.
It really takes a special kind of animal to kill an elderly person.
