Farm Attacks

He's had a few encounters, poor guy. One time they attacked him, I think shot or stabbed in the legs. Spent the entire night on his bathroom floor until the domestic came in the next morning.

He was also in the news a year or so ago about parking with a prosie at the N2 near Sir Lowry's past.

Which strawberry farm was his, the one on Polka draai or the other on the R44? Either way [MENTION=42842]Rouxenator[/MENTION] that's very close to us. To close for comfort, in my mind most of these farm murders happens up north (or used to at least).

When I look at the recent decisions regarding private firearm ownership PLUS the uncontrollable crime , I begin to wonder if it is better just to get -- something that fell off the back of a truck --but -- keep it properly hidden until really needed.
Can always later be put in the hands of a [DEAD] perp

Jeffrey was on the one next to the R44/Anandale. My dad said he had just left his office and was in his bakkie waiting to turn onto the R44 when they attacked him and stabbed him to death. From what he can recall Jeffrey had 5 attacks before.

As [MENTION=399031]Cr419[/MENTION] said, too close for comfort. Our family farm is around the corner next to Spier. What does not count in favour of Zetler is that there has been a few labour related issues in the past. He was known to be a tough boss to work for, but still this is no way to go.

Shoot to kill if you ever find yourself in a precarious situation. These thugs don't deserve to live.
 
Also an attack near us at Harties. (Broederstroom) last night. Farmer killed, daughter and wife tortured.
 
Do you chaps still keep track of Whites being tortured and killed by Blacks?
This thread is not good for racial relations. If you ask me, it should be closed.

No arrests have been made yet in connection with the murder of renowned Stellenbosch strawberry farmer Jeffrey Zetler‚ who was found stabbed to death in his office on Saturday.

Western Cape police spokesman Captain FC van Wyk said police were still busy with investigations.

“No arrests have been made yet‚” he told TimesLIVE on Sunday.

No further information was immediately available.

Zetler‚ 62‚ was the owner of Mooiberge strawberry farm. According to reports‚ he had survived four previous robberies.

Two killed in two separate farm attacks in North West

Two people have been killed in two separate farm attacks in North West. The attacks bring to three of the number of fatal farm attacks reported in the country within a 24-hour period‚ with the news earlier that a renowned Stellenbosch strawberry farmer‚ Jeffrey Zetler‚ 62‚ had been stabbed to death in his office on Saturday afternoon. North West Police said on Sunday that a 64-year-old man had been shot dead on his farm in Hartbeespoort during a robbery on Saturday afternoon.

According to police information‚ the father and his three daughters had a family gathering and that two of the three daughters had left afterwards.“It is alleged that the other daughter‚ aged 28‚ stayed with the father and was standing outside when three armed men approached her. According to information the suspects instructed the daughter to get inside where they found her father‚” said Colonel Amanda Funani‚ North West police spokesperson.

The suspects allegedly demanded money. It is further alleged that the father was trying to negotiate with the three suspects to let his daughter go‚ when they had shot him on the chest. He died on the scene.
“The daughter managed to escape and got help. The police are investigating cases of murder and house robbery. The suspects fled with jewellery‚ two televisions‚ a laptop and cell phone and other house hold items.” said Funani.
