Farm Attacks

Since farm murders / attacks in South Africa have always been seen in the press as a racially motivated attack (I don't really believe that as I think 99% of the attacks are because of being a soft target or a dispute) which is akin to most murders, rapes or robberies (the attacker is known to the victim)

Are there any stats which show the race of the farmer who was attacked, or is that not allowed?
Race is not something that reported on.

A 2003 (only one I could find and yip- I know it's old)- report stated that 2% of all farm murders were racial/ political in nature (so this could even include farmworkers with political disputes). And also could include farmer killing farm worker due to race based violence.

So- if there are about 50 farm murders a year- then there is 1 that is either racial/political.

Do you think the amount of attention the 'genocide' commands correlates to the stats?

SA's is substantially lower than the world average. Open your eyes.

For developed countries of course Captain Obvious. That was not the only conclusion, see above.

Please read before trying to understand the data.

Do not try to derail this thread with stupidity Fak Ma Pui.
Deflection now? Because you've been caught out and lacking.

I have nothing to do with that other account.

This is part of the controversy. Since 1994, the race of neither victims nor perpetrators of crimes were ever released, as part of MSM's journalists' contribution to Worldwide Wokeness. The only time that it was seen to be permissible to report was in the event of a race-based attack, where the race would be deemed to be relevant. This, of course, created fear amongst journalists and journalism in general, and therefore the vast majority of race-based crimes were never, and will continue to be, under-reported, journalists would rather err on the side of caution. Journalists also needed to keep their jobs, and it was out of fashion to be seen to be conservative for fear of being labelled right-wing. Moreover, the world was embracing The Great Rainbow Nation Experiment, and all wanted to be seen to be part of it, and corporates thought that they could get government tenders, so they all contributed to making The Great White Guilt a thing. Attack being the best form of defense, white people swallowed it all, hook line and sinker, and many still do today, we see it regularly in them bending the knee for BLM.

Will journalism / media ever recover from this travesty? I have my doubts, and even if they do, no-one will believe them. Reputation is funny like that, very easily destroyed, but very difficult, if not impossible, to get back.

Tin foil hat time.

Livestream of Afriforum's case against Malema's "Kill The Boer" chant:
Further to this:

Translation:
Judge Keightley's biased actions during the appeal case against "Kill the Boer", as well as her previous statements about
@afriforum
leave a reasonable suspicion that she is biased. This puts a renewed spotlight on the danger that the current political composition of the Judicial Service Commission poses to the credibility of the judiciary. Keightley, who is currently serving as an appeals judge, would have to appear before the Judicial Service Commission – a body of which Julius Malema is a member – if she wanted to be appointed permanently. Malema will therefore have a part in the appointment of a judge who must rule on cases in which he (and other politicians) is a party.

At first I thought this was a bad move, perhaps a strategy used elsewhere before, frowned. But nope ... justified. Some history here, her own acknowledged prejudice should have seen her recuse herself.

This request follows after it came to light this past week that Keightley lashed out against AfriForum in court in 2018 by arguing that this civil rights organisation is unwilling to move beyond its “anachronistic positions”. At the time, she also stated that AfriForum might wish to consider to apply for her recusal should she preside again in a case in which AfriForum is involved.

...

in the High Court in Pretoria on 15 June 2018. According to Kriel, Keithley ruled against AfriForum at the time in the court case regarding Unisa’s decision to scrap Afrikaans as a language of instruction. Keightley granted leave to AfriForum to appeal against her ruling and then, according to Kriel, said that given that she had already decided to grant leave, she could say “these things” about AfriForum. Kriel pointed out that both the Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court subsequently ruled in AfriForum’s favour against Keightley’s initial judgement.

WTF do they have to apply to have the bitch recused though?
Surely if she had presence of mind (as any good judge would) she would do the honours herself?

As I said, her own acknowledged prejudice should have seen her recuse herself.

This does open up a can of worms for the judiciary and way things are done.

Out of the 1 402 farm attacks and farm murder incidents recorded by the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the past four years (from 2019 to 2022), convictions have so far been made in only 66 cases. This means that more than 95% of all these atrocities are still unsolved. These and other shocking figures regarding the arrest and prosecution of suspects involved in farm attacks and farm murder incidents that took place from 2019 to 2022 are contained in an AfriForum report that was released today during a media conference in Pretoria.
“The figures reveal a bitter truth, namely that farm attackers not only believe that they can get away with their inexcusable crimes – they know it.”
