Be very careful about this governmint's promises, they side with whoever will bring them personally the most benefit at the drop of a hat....if government is going to deliver on its various eGovernment initiatives
I hope you are letting the copper thieves know about the replaced copper, but ... then again ... why would you?There is also the savings that will be made from preventing copper theft. Since fiber has no intrinsic value, Telkom could stand to save on the millions they spend each year to replace stolen copper.
So if Telkom or whoever offer fiber to home, does this mean we could also have ridiculous speeds like Japan? If so, i can imagine the cost!...
